The property was advertised as a "hidden gem" nestled in the mountains. It was also described as "peaceful" and "private".
In reality, it's in the middle of a dense neighborhood, and there are NO blinds or window coverings except for the bedrooms. A neighbor came over to warn us that he could see us in the shower and on the toilet. He also told us that previous guests would use aluminum foil to cover those windows. We had to use garbage bags.
The kitchen is not stocked with "everything you need". In fact, they had to bring out utensils, cups and glasses, measuring cups, all the basics that you need in a stocked kitchen. And only after we complained.
They claimed that installing blinds were "on the to do list" and when they finally came to install them, they didn't fit!!! The TV didn't work and had to be replaced, and they left a large wire handing.
The property is not "secluded" at all. The house that is in your direct view looks like a gingerbread house that you would put together at Christmas time. Neighbors told us that other guests had experienced similar issues, and staff members told us that the owners were "well aware" of the issues with the property. This property was completely misrepresented and the whole feel of the house is just creepy. We were in a fishbowl the entire time, not the way I wanted to spend my 82 yo mom's last mother daughter vacation.
This property was completely misrepresented. Avoid it at all costs or don't say you weren't warned.
