Extravagante cabaña inspirada en la playa en la fabulosa costa de Northumberland.

Dovecote Corner es una peculiar cabaña en el extremo de la terraza en el popular pueblo costero de Amble-by-the-Sea, y puede acomodar hasta 4 personas. Es perfecto para una pareja o una familia pequeña que busca una base acogedora para descubrir las delicias de la costa del patrimonio.

El bullicioso puerto, los galardonados restaurantes, pubs y tiendas se encuentran a poca distancia, al igual que una playa de arena, un puerto de trabajo y un paseo por el muelle.
Recientemente, hemos agregado un Centro interactivo de cría de langosta ... estamos tratando de aumentar el tamaño de la población de langosta en el Mar del Norte y nuestras famosas vainas Amble ... botes suspendidos que contienen pequeñas tiendas que venden todo tipo de artesanías. .
La gente viaja por millas para visitar nuestro mercado de los domingos por la mañana, ubicado en el puerto a la vuelta de la esquina ... es el más grande de la zona.
Unos minutos en coche hacia el norte te llevan al histórico Warkworth, con su castillo medieval, encantadoras tiendas y pubs que sirven buena comida.
Una milla más o menos al sur te lleva a las playas doradas de Hauxley y Druridge ... y a dos santuarios de aves con cueros alrededor de una serie de lagos.

Cómodamente amueblada con un tema de playa, nuestra casa de campo luminosa ofrece dos habitaciones, una habitación doble amplia y una litera y un baño con bañera para esos largos baños después de un día agotador en la playa.
Una pequeña cocina equipada y un luminoso salón con estufa de leña para esas frías noches de invierno y TV con TDT y reproductor de DVD, libros, DVD y wifi completan esta hermosa cabaña.

¿Por qué no hacer un recorrido por el Castillo y los Jardines de Alnwick o descubrir uno de los muchos paseos costeros con una pinta y un sándwich de cangrejo en algún lugar del camino? Las playas doradas son infinitas y esperan ser descubiertas.

Excellent accommodation and location

Loved the house, quirky as described!, and great location for us not having a car. Very close to bus and shops, easy walk to harbour.

2nd stay here!

Warm comfortable house. Everything one needs for a short stay. As we had been before we knew to take a mat for the shower as it is over a bath. The online details are a bit lacking . Last year I had to contact the owner to check if there was a separate shower . The house is so convenient for Amble harbour. We hope to return.

The Perfect week

This was our first stay in Northumberland and we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. The house was lovely, thoughtfully decorated and really well equipped with everything we needed. The area was quiet and only a short walk away from the harbour - we enjoyed a walk down there every morning in a week of beautiful sunshine. Highly recommended as an excellent base for a stay!

New Year in Amble

Cosy end of terrace 2 storey cottage. The heating was great and there was no need of the log fire. The kitchen equipment was plentiful and the milk etc was welcome. Although the shower was over the bath ,the bath sides were not too high. Plenty to see and do in and around Amble, We did contact the owner and our query was immediately dealt with.

A cracking place to stay!

Dovecote Corner is a little gem, cosy, comfortable and really well equipped. We slept so well in the comfy bed, we were warm and cosy, the fire was easy to light and it was very efficient. The cottage is central in Amble and within easy walking distance of some great places to eat and drink and close to shops. There are beautiful beaches locally and our dogs loved running on them. Diane was a really responsive host and she left a selection of welcome goodies including milk and biscuits.

Relaxing break in amble

Comfortable and surprisingly big cottage in amble; just what we needed for a few days by the sea. Conveniently located for shops, pubs and restaurants with plenty of space to park outside. The outside space was a welcome addition in the heatwave and actually very private as it backs on to a very small through road.

Very good property

The property suited us very well. Within walking distance of the harbour and some excellent restaurants. Nice size for us and our two dogs. Some nice welcoming touches on arrival. The only problem was parking when there were events on across the road.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Loved staying at this very comfortable cottage. It's very handily placed, parking is easy and the woodburner is fab. Amble is a terrific little town with lots going on. Everywhere is very dog friendly too.

Cosy cottage & great hospitality

Cosy, comfortable & clean house. Pretty good location, close to the centre of Amble & the harbour. Parking outside was always fine for us. Good base for south Northumberland & all it has to offer. Great communication from the owner, Diane. She even brought round some sticks & logs for the wood burner because it was unseasonably cold on a couple of nights. Thanks! We would recommend any local beach - they are all great, but Bamburgh, Hauxley, Druridge Bay & Embleton in particular. Lovely castles, obviously, Bamburgh, Alnwick. Didn’t get to Warkworth. Saw seals on Holy Island. In Amble, ice cream at Spurellis is good, coffee at a harbour stall & fish and chips at Queens Plaice on the high street were excellent (& gluten free).

A hidden gem in Northumberland

What a smashing wee cottage near the harbour in Amble. Fully equipped and very comfortable. Absolutely loved the mini hot water bottles, but never needed them, due to the excellent heating system . . .however, will have to find out where to get them! Grandsons were more than happy to have baths. . .with dinosaurs. . .after busy days exploring the surrounding areas, and loved their bunk beds. Highly recommended for couples or families, we hope to be back before too long. Thank you Di, for making our stay so special x

Adequate cottage perhaps more cutlery and glasses. An oven glove would be welcome.
