“The Yearling will always have a very special place in my heart. It is old Florida charm at its finest. The cabins are not 5-star accommodations, but rather exactly what you would expect to find located on Cross Creek between Lake Orange and Lake Lochloosa. They are clean, comfortable and offer an excellent view of the creek. The neighborhood peacocks call to each other while birds and other wildlife occasionally travel by. My husband and I have stayed three times so far and would love to go back...

“We had a fantastic stay! Hailee and Josh (and their sons!) are gracious hosts who made us feel very welcome. The farmhouse is huge and the layout was perfect for the 10 of us. “My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here! The cabin was very clean and cozy and we loved the outside space! We brought a small boat and were able to put it right in the water. The canoe experience was definitely a highlight—we really enjoyed paddling down the river and taking in the peaceful nature around us. That said, there were a few things that could be improved.
