We are return guests. Our pups love the back yard and the lil’ streams. Everything we needed was provided. (We brought our own crates/dog beds.) It’s a very old cabin with an addition, but we adore the older, rustic charm. Having a washer/dryer in the basement is wonderful, wifi was strong, brand new towels, nice heaters in each room and communication with the owner was great! It does not smell of pets at all, which is always a fear of mine when selecting a pet friendly rental. It’s just such a cool place with tons of thoughtful touches. Thank you for having us again!

This cabin was cute, quaint, and cozy for our weekend stay. The hot cocoa surprise was a perfect touch for the extremely cold weekend and the toys available for our fur babies helped keep them entertained during our stay.

This is a beautiful cabin in the woods. It is very pet and family friendly. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a country getaway. And the host was incredibly responsive and made everything very easy.

This was such a cozy, fun place to stay! Very pet friendly. We felt so welcomed. The host is very responsive and so nice. Check-in was super easy. The property is gorgeous and if you want a getaway, that is quiet, but still not too far away from fun, restaurants, Shenandoah national park, etc this is the place for you!

Looks good on paper

Pros: The host was excellent. She responded quickly every time I had a question, she warned us of a tree that had gone down just that day, and she left the makings of s'mores for us--a very "sweet" gesture! The kitchen had everything we needed: microwave, bottled water, and a fridge. We had our choice of games and DVDs; there was a remarkable selection of both. I can speak for the bed in the master bedroom; it was comfortable. The 9 year old liked sleeping in the top bunk--and the 7 year old on the floor (just because he refused to sleep in the bottom bunk in the same room as his sister).But the place was also disappointing.Cons: I expected more since there were 46 excellent reviews. The towels looked cheap and threadbare; they should've been replaced! The electrical wiring was sketchy. (I'm particularly referring to the line with a switch that turned on the light in the den.) The screen door had big gaps in the screen, thus making it impossible to leave the door open, even if we had wanted to. There was no stair rail in the stairway leading to the basement, and the basement itself had a concrete floor. I didn't go down there myself and wouldn't let the kids go down either. And my grandson was disappointed because we wouldn't let him sleep in the loft; there was no barrier that would prevent him from rolling out of the loft! The dealbreaker was that if I had known there were window air conditioners rather than central air, I wouldn't have booked it in the first place.

Third time stay.

Once again Rebecca has provided our family an ideal place to stay on during our vacation. This cabin has all of things we need to decompress after a long day in the car. Most of all space in a quite, remote place. No highway sounds, only bird sounds. We also enjoy the authentic, hand hewn wood beams and wood floors. You won't be disappointed when you stay here.

Absolutely amazing

Magical cabin sums it up. The location is perfect. The cabin is just the right amount of rustic with modern updates. The host is meticulous to details and has everything you could need. My family absolutely loved it there. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this unique cabin. The cabin was so clean and inviting! We enjoyed the vinyl records, the DVD collection, and classic video game system and the coffee and hot cocoa station! It was perfect for our family of 5 and our dog. We would definitely recommend this property!

Family Graduation Celebration

We gathered grandparents, parents, friends, and a graduate to spend quality time together and be close to Bridgewater College. We were only 20 minutes from great food in Staunton and 20 minutes from campus.

Quiet, peaceful stay!

We were a group of 5 looking for somewhere to relax on a long road trip and this was the perfect spot for us. The host was friendly and helpful and the space was just as welcoming. Music and games galore, as well as gorgeous natural spaces
