“The perfect little getaway! My father passed suddenly and we had to drive in from 9 hours away. Our first VRBO was NOT as expected and an awful experience; in a terrible part of town. We were exhausted, had a car full of groceries and I searched for last minute openings. The owner here responded quickly and had the place ready for us. “The cottage was so very charming and it definitely felt one stepped back in time! THe location was superb. Wonderful positive surprises (did not pick up fully in the listing) included the gas powered fireplaces (there are two!) and cozy, private garden patio in back. One item I missed on the listing was that there was only one Bath/shower and it was on the main floor - not where the bedrooms are located - that said, the water was hot and there were plenty of cushy towels! “We enjoyed the apartment and all of its 1970's paraphernalia. I grew up in the area IN the 1970's so it was all a blast from the past. It was clean and loved that they welcomed pets. Check in and check out was easy. We had some trouble with a broken coffee maker and the bed was rather hard. But owners were responsive. ”

“This place is adorable! My girls and I booked it last minute for a girls weekend trip and they loved that they got to ring the original school bell everyday! The beds were so comfortable, the decor was "old school" and decorated with antiques, which I love! The place was clean, the hot tub was wonderful, the owners always quickly responded, and it being pet friendly was a bonus so we got to bring our GoldenDoodle! Highly recommend! ”

“Check in good. Grill dirty coffee maker didn’t work and made a mess, tires on wagons need replaced, bug in bed, light in desk didn’t work and bug lights outside needed fuel. Really needed a microwave. ”

“The pictures do not do this place justice, which is unheard of! The charm is unmatched, every little detail has been perfectly thought out. The design is immaculate & feels like home the second you walk in. The host is quick to respond & super helpful!! When we got there, the upstairs was very hot, as to be expected with a historic home. I messaged the host & he was quick to get his maintenance man out to install 2 brand new air conditioners in the upstairs which made the rest of our stay quite...
