  • Welcome to The Red Star Cabin! This charming and cozy cabin is nested on the side of Cartwright Mountain just above Lake Fort Smith. This area of the Ozark Mountains offers plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking, fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking. The cabin is centrally located to many amazing State parks such as Lake Fort Smith, Devils Den & White Rock. This is an ideal place not only to enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities but also close enough to enjoy all that Fayetteville or Fort Smith has to offer Historic Garrison Avenue, Judge Parker's Museum, The Marshals Museum, Razorback games, Dickson Street, wonderful restaurants and festivals. The cabin has a rustic charm with modern amenities making it the perfect blend of comfort and nature. ***The property is located on a dirt road that is steep. In the winter months when it is snowy or icy a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary. If you are pulling a large trailer a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary.

We didn’t want to leave! The cabin had just the right amount of space for 2 people. I enjoyed the hot tub and my boyfriend enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the birds and the view. We can’t wait to come back. Very easy access to Ozark Highland Trail!! Just lovely.

The hot tub is a bit outdated and there is some maintenance inside the cabin that is needed. We also struggled trying to figure out the TV, but we didn’t come to the cabin to watch TV, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Overall, the cabin was nice and met our needs.

We loved our visit to Cozy Cabin! It’s the perfect place to unplug, minimal cell service(could depend on your cell provider ). The internet & Wi-Fi were spotty at night but hey, it’s in the mountains that’s to be expected.Bed was great! Hand soap in bathroom was empty, we couldn’t find a refill.

My husband and I loved our stay here! Perfect small cabin, great privacy, great access to wildlife, hiking, beautiful views, and NWA attractions. Plus a comfy bed and great water pressure!
