Our family had a wonderful experience at Alta Vista during our five-day Independence Day getaway. The spacious and well-appointed home easily accommodated all ten of us, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and have their own space. The kids loved hanging out in the downstairs area, while the adults appreciated having separate bedrooms.One of our favorite surprises was the stunning view from the back deck—each evening we were treated to breathtaking sunsets over the trees and mountains, which made for unforgettable moments and beautiful photos.Although we encountered some issues with the air conditioning due to the warm weather, the property management team was extremely responsive and did everything they could to help. Communication was clear and timely throughout our stay.We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alta Vista and look forward to returning in the future!

Great ski week retreat!

We had an amazing time staying here while snowboarding at Bear Valley. So much room and many activities inside the house, and absolutely incredible views of the sunset and stars outside the house. It was the perfect week!

Beautiful home!

The house was perfect for our girls trip. Large spacious common areas and the large bathrooms were a plus. Everything was clean and had tons of supplies for us in the kitchen and bathrooms. And The views were to die for! We had an issue with the AC on our last day, but given the heatwave, I understood. Management did their best to rectify the situation. They were great! Important note: Use Apple Maps, not Google maps to find the property. Google will take you down a long scary one lane road to a dead end!

Really Great choice for us

Property is really incredible, views forever. Easily accommodated our combined Family of 7 and grandkids. Perfect place if you bring child by the way. Full game room, pool table, foosball, TV.. even a slot machine. Kitchen is perfect, well appointed, and where we spent most of our time really. Beautiful area, easy in n out. Really seamless process of booking. Highly recommend this place.

Luxury Retreat Review

I stayed here with my family over Thanksgiving for a few days and it was a great experience. Beautiful views from the home, well equipped kitchen, lots of board games/entertainment (pool table/poker table etc) and enough space for a large family. Close to downtown Murphy. Highly recommend this home for a peaceful getaway!

Mountain Serenity

We rented Alta Vista for a long girls weekend. The house and property are breathtaking. Highlights were the kitchen, game room, comfortable beds, views and quite frankly all of it. I highly recommend this property and would give it 10 stars. Love, love, loved this place!

Gorgeous and spacious cabin

We had a wonderful time at Alta Vista. The property was spacious and had tons of games and activities on site for family to enjoy. The kitchen is awesome, easy to cook for groups and the view from the deck is to die for. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Amazing stay

This is a beautiful home that really takes care to ensure you have everything you need available at your fingertips. From all the convenient labels in the kitchen so that you can quickly find what you need to all the extra linens (and beach towels) and amenities (tons of DVDs and boardgames and a game room - we could’ve spent the whole week inside). It was really an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Experiencing JoJo’s Life in Murphys, CA

Breathtaking views. Superior property. Didn’t even think about whether there would be TP, PT’s, trash bags, shampoo, soap, dish washer detergent, etc until we left Sacramento Airport at 9:00pm. Not to fear……all the necessary essentials were there for our use upon arrival after all the stores had closed. I lost my youngest son almost two years ago to liver failure. He had spent two years on 72 acres we bought off Sheep’s Ranch Road during 2018 & 2019. I took my other two sons and my son-in-law for a guys trip to visit the property (we had never seen it previously). We spread some of his ashes, quite a few tears, and enjoyed an emotional visit to Murphys! You won’t regret a stay at this beautiful property. Similar drives to Murphys and Arnold. My wife read somewhere that Murphys is the new “mini Napa”.

Perfect Spot!

What a lovely place --- roomy enough for our group of 9 and lots of comfort/amenities. Great kitchen, surrounding decks and amazing views. Love that it's close to Murphys but tucked away nicely so it feels very private and quiet. Great hosts!

Fabulous Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here. The home was clean, beautiful and the views were amazing! We had a family gathering to celebrate a milestone 80th birthday. His wish was to have everyone under one roof and this house was perfection. The downstairs with the game room and sleeping area was a hit with all the ages but especially the teens. Highly recommend.

Stunning Views and Endless Entertainment

We stayed at this cabin with my family and both set of grandparents. We all loved it. Walking in the place exceeded expectations even from the already gorgeous photos. Situated on a scenic hilltop the views of the surrounding hills were stunning. The home is spacious and the back wrap around patio with fire pit was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting by the fire after dinner, sharing stories and seeing all the stars in the night sky. The lower level and room with the bunk and pull out beds was perfect for our kids. They loved the game room and my son learned how to play pool. The home is just a short drive to town and we enjoyed exploring downtown Murphys and Mercer Caverns. Everyone commented on how great the house was and we took lots of beautiful sunset photos. My mom has been battling cancer and she said this was the most fun weekend she has had in a long time. Thank you for sharing this amazing place. We would love to come back someday.
