“This was our second stay at Beamish, as expected the room was a good size, as we upgraded again. We always enjoy our visits to the North East and you can not fault the staff and the food at breakfast and dinner. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The main reason for our visit was to visit Beamish Open Air Museum again and on this occasion to visit the Light Trail, which is just located at the side of the Hotel. Final note on parking, there are plenty of spaces and EV charge points...

“When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. “Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.”

“The whole process of being able to stay there was awful. I had emails asking me to verify my identity but no correct link sent. I was threatened with a cancellation without refund desite the fact they had not given me the opportunity to do what they asked. Having finally been sent a link I verified and arrived to be told this was very common. At the property Fire Doors were constantly janmed open.”
