Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money.”

“I loved the balcony in our room. I have difficulty with walking, and a lift would have been a nice touch. However, the difficulties were overcome, and the staff were extremely good at helping and taking heavy luggage to our rooms. Many thanks. The best policy was to talk to the staff, who were delighted to help in many ways, and they were very good. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we will use this hotel again. We have no complaints, only our thanks for an extremely enjoyable time”

“Really great, absolutely spotless room. Lovely shower. As some of the other reviews suggest, it could do with some hooks for coats and bath towels, and maybe a shelf for toiletries in the shower. ”

“What an absolute gem. Situated in a quiet quaint village Wayside is the perfect getaway. My room was clean and spacious with views out onto beautiful countryside. Lovely courtyard at the entrance with seating area. Continental breakfast wanted for nothing with fresh refrigerated milk, yoghurts, orange juice, cheese grapes etc. Lovely fresh bread, toaster, kettle and all you need to use. Shower room compact and spotless. I would definitely recommend”

“The staff were all polite and helpful, although some seemed a little inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job.”

“The room was very clean and tidy. On the booking it didn't say there breakfast, but when I got into the room there was a lovely breakfast bag. The car park was small but was adequate. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay there. Also the staff were very helpful ”

“This is an amazing place to stop , very clean , warm and everything you need to have a good stay , it was -3 when i stopped but was warm n snug , tesco and lidl at the end of the road. I will definitely be stopping again when im up this way ”
