“We were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent, local suppliers clearly listed. Extensive wine list.
Outside area for drinks and dinner is attractive.
Very friendly staff
We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. ”

Only "gripes" are - four poster bed is a *little* small, it's the equivalent of a small double bed. Also, the shower doesn't have much power.
It's an older, historical property, so do factor that into a stay.
As highlighted above though, the staff were brilliant, and the (included) breakfast was sublime.

“Lovely room. Delicious food and very professional staff. Despite being very busy, we did not wait for food, which was so good. We certainly did not leave the restaurant hungry as the portion sizes were very big. We would hope to return again hopefully sometime soon. ”

Aylsham is a gorgeous place to visit and the unique ships, range of restaurants and warm welcome from the people who live and work there have left a really positive and heart warming impression on me. “Everything apart from one exception was either excellent or very good. The only drawback was the internet connection in our room was virtually non-existent. ”
“Lovely room. Ours was at the top, it was a hot night and heat rises! We did have the windows open but it’s quite a busy road so lots of road noise. The blind also let in a lot of light too and if light sensitive there was a bright green light shinning in the ceiling. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Restaurant packed and the food was good. I had the roast and my husband had the mutton curry - huge potions. Staff very helpful and smiley but rushed off their feet. ”
