Wonderful stay

We loved starting at this VRBO home and would book it again! Wonderful location (1 minute walk to the beach), plenty of beach times available to use in the home and great communication from our host.

We had a great stay in Nags Head! The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to take advantage of every break in the weather. While the weather wasn’t ideal for most of the trip, being so close to the ocean allowed us to squeeze in beach time between storms. Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. Overall, a convenient and comfortable spot for a beach getaway!

Home away from home

There is a very good reason we keep coming back to the Salty Shrimp year after year. The house is always very clean and comfortable. The central location to either Corrolla or Hatteras or any point between is perfect. We have tried a few other homes in the area and each time regret not going home to the Salty Shrimp. Thank you Bridgette and Andy. We look forward to next year.

Great spot for family vacation!

We stayed here for a week and loved it. Great location and amenities within the home. The host was communicative and made sure we were taken care of. We would definitely stay in this home again!

Great stay!

We love the cozy and convenient Salty Shrimp. We have stayed there a number of times. The hosts are very kind and responsive. The location is a short walk to a stairfree beach access and near many restaurants and other attractions. The house is comfortable and cute. We enjoyed evenings relaxing in the rocking chairs on the screened-in front porch. We have had wonderful stays there.

Perfect Getaway Spot!

The cottage was spectacularly clean, so cute with the retro kitchen. Great location, and the host, Bridgett, was very kind and responsive to our inquiries. Oh and the pumpkin bread in the welcome basket was delicious!

Great stay! The cottage is very lovely. It has a nice kitchen with updated appliances, a screened-in front porch, and is only a block from the beach. The host left a nice welcome basket for us. We would definitely book this cottage again.

Enjoyable Beach Cottage

We would definitely stay here again! Great location, very clean, & well-stocked. The owners were very easy to get in touch with, not that we had any issues at all! So many nice touches, including a great welcome basket. Looking forward to coming back here next year!

We had an incredible time at the Salty Shrimp! The communication with the host was exceptional and the welcome basket was a nice surprise. The cottage was clean, charming and in a great location. Being so close to the beach was so convenient! We loved riding the bikes around the neighborhoods and stopping at the little shops along the way. Evenings on the porch was nice way to end the eventful day. We would definitely come back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The location of this is home is absolutely perfect! So close to the beach and such a lovely home stocked with anything you might need during your stay. The owners are very responsive and communicative should you need anything while you’re here. Would rate this home a 10/10 and recommend this home and location to anyone!

Awesome location!

Perfect location!! Short walk to beach! Restaurants close enough to walk. Perfect size for our family of 4. Nice and clean and lots of great amenities! We would definitely stay here again!!

Great Stay

Cozy and comfortable home. Walking distance to the beach was perfect with two little children and a dog. Home was as listed and the welcome gifts were great. Would highly recommend for small families or group of friends.

Super close to the beach

My husband and I stayed here with our 5 year-old daughter and two dogs. We loved this property. It was very clean and very close to the beach access. Loved the screened in porch. Close to lots of activities and restaurants. Will definitely be looking to book this house again in the future.

Excellent!

The location of the property can't be beat. Woke up to walk to get biscuits after taking sunrise photos of the beach. Our dog loved it and it was super convenient. The house was the perfect size and very clean. Highly recommend!

Exceeded expectations

From the well-appointed kitchen, games and books, and fantastic location this cottage exceeded our expectations. In addition to being a very short walk to the beach, it’s in the perfect location for visiting Jockey’s Ridge State Park, Wright Brothers Memorial, The Nature Conservancy trails, and more. We walked to Mahi Mahi for a great dinner and down to Booty Treats for shaved ice and ice cream. Overall, we loved this cottage and would love to return.

All you need for the beach

Excellent house with close proximity to the beach access. Has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and chairs, toys, and shade for the beach. The buggy was a game changer for hauling everything with three kids in tow. The location on the side street provides a place for kids to play and ride bikes when you’re not at the ocean. The cornhole boards were a great addition and provided plenty of entertainment for us all. The front porch was ideal for a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine as the sunset. And last but not least, you can never go wrong with an outdoor shower!
