Loved the view and location of condo. Great condo and neighborhood. Large number of insects everywhere in the unit, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. The insects were generally peaceful. Only got bit when once while I was sleeping. I recommend fumigating.

Perfect spot in Maui!

We loved our place and our view! The location in Maui was perfect for us as well as the location of our place on the property. Close enough to get to everything yet we felt “tucked away” in our more private space.

Christmas in Maui

Look no further! If you want to be steps from the Ocean everyday in a beautiful setting this is for you. We saw humpback whales every day from our living room. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, beaches.

Wonderful Anniversary Vacation

This was our 10 year anniversary celebration, and the location did not disappoint! It was everything we had hoped for and more! Our condo opened right onto the ocean, and the location for our excursions could not have been more perfect! We highly recommend for any couple!

Perfect stay as expected

This was our second time in L107 and had previously stayed in a unit two doors down. We love the Papa Kea and it's only gotten better. The check-in process had been slightly cumbersome in the past but it's dialed in now, absolute piece of cake. All communication was quick, efficient, and accurate. The unit has had some updates (e.g. sliding doors) is in great shape. Great vacation! Mahalo!

Love this place but ask questions before booking

The pros: Papakea is a very well maintained resort with excellent amenities usually only available in higher end resorts. In this unit, the kitchen and bathroom have been updated with granite, new appliances and a nicely done glass shower. The location couldn't be better. The Lanai is 50 feet from the water. There was plenty of whale action and beautiful grounds to enjoy. Gas tiki torches light up the resort at night giving off a magical vibe. We called the management company on Super Bowl Sunday to report on three items needing attention. To our surprise, a handy man arrived before kickoff and had 2 of 3 fixed in about an hour. The unfixable was the dishwasher soap compartment which is missing a spring and hence, doesn't open. The part is currently unavailabe. Great service on the property! The cons: I booked and paid in full, then submitted questions through the booking site. I never heard back. I finally called VRBO, to be informed the property has another level of management, Maui Dreams Come True. I called them twice before they called me back. The woman who called me said VRBO doesn't forward messages since Expedia bought them. She answered all my questions but I would prefer service recovery over blame shifting. Summary: I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit in this resort again. However, I wish I had known about the horrible communication style and existence of the intermediary management company.

A+ condo and resort

My husband and I agree that this has been the best condo we have ever stayed in Maui. The oceanfront location was such a treat as we were able to eat our breakfast on the lanai and have a front row seat to the whale show right in front of us. We would wind down the day with cocktails on the lanai while watching the sunset. We were able to snap many gorgeous pictures. The condo was very comfortable and tastefully updated, comfy bed and well stocked kitchen. The Papakea Resort is beautifully landscaped, with lots of amenities and 2 heated pools. We will be back!

My only issue with they property was there was a rodent in the condo. The property manager was very good about trying to remedy the situation but to no avail. Was unable to feel very good about using kitchen. The condo was very nice and location was awesome.

Maui Vacation!

My wife and I could not have enjoyed our stay any more than we did! The place was exactly as advertised, perfectly maintained and a beautiful property/setting. Would definitely recommend to everyone and will be looking to stay there again on our next trip!

Lovely condo with a beautiful view!

Our favorite part was the view from the living area and patio. It's amazing to look right at the ocean, especially for sunsets. The condo was very clean and had nearly everything we needed. There is a washer/dryer. Would have been nice to have a detergent starter available but there is a store just down the street with travel detergent and fabric softener available. Dishwashing detergent was missing and they request you start the dishes upon check out so was not able to. Otherwise well stocked, especially the kitchen. We did not recieve a check in email so did not have the information, however check in at registration was very easy and fast. The pool is lovely and lots of BBQs available. The only slight disappointment was not having a swimmable beach directly in front of condos. In the pictures it seems as though there is the beach right in front but there's a seawall and all rocks below. Still gorgeous and the condo next door has a nice beach just a short walk away. The pool, beach, and parking (unless you are not back until after 8pm then a walk) are all very close to this condo. Great location! Walkable to shopping, grocery, and food. We loved our stay and recommend for couples or small families.

Great location with beautiful scenery of ocean

We got an excellent condo with everything we needed, just like being at home. Only thing we didn’t like was the 4pm checking specially when our airline changed our departure twice making our arrival to Maui at 9:30 am wich meant we had a lot of time to kill because Papakea Resort wouldn’t let us check in early even though I called two weeks ahead to explain our situation with airline.

Waking to waves

Nice, clean and well stocked. The pullout bed is a little finicky and the bathroom fan was out but overall pretty good unit. And you cant beat waking up to a view of the ocean waves.

Location was amazing and that's why we rented here. Condo lacked some basic things like a can opener, any laundry detergent at all ( was told one wash would have been included), sheets weren't the newest, feet were dirty first night walking around on the tile...it was just a bit tired. Will stay somewhere else next time.

Unit was updated, clean and has grassy water front location. The unit has 2 Boogie boards, a beach chair and umbrella, which we made good use of. Sunsets are just fantastic!

Amazing Location

This was the perfect place to stay. Right on the ground floor overlooking the ocean. Waking up every morning to the view was just beyond amazing. Lots of places to walk to or just kick back and relax. My only disappointment was the holes in the sheets and stains on the towels. Everything was clean but these little things could certainly be a turn off to most folks. I meant to tell staff that the directions to this place were incorrect. It told us to take 30 North when you should be taking 30 South (from the airport). We came in at night and could have certain been stuck on impassible roads had we not figured out that we were going the wrong direction. I will certainly come back to this cute unit. Loved it!!

Clean condo, great location, sunset views!

Overall had a great stay at the property! Pros: excellent location in proximity to beaches food and activities. Clean condo with washer and dryer (small w/d). Has fully stocked kitchen. Check the cabinets behind the mirror when you check in as guests leave unused/unfinished items when they depart so you may not need to buy extra supplies. Very Short walk to beach sandy access (condo is next to brick sea wall with no access directly in front of it but great view). Has everything you really need for your stay without a lot of frills. Cons: the “upgraded air conditioning” is still not great. Took a long time to cool the condo down when checking in, and there is no a/c in the bedroom, even when sleeping with the door open it was too warm for us to sleep in complete comfort. Maybe a fan would help to blow cool air down the hall to the bedroom. Also unit boasts it is “fully upgraded” while it has new kitchen appliances and countertops the unit’s furniture, decor and some fixtures still seemed dated. Also when the paperwork says “absolutely no early check in”, they mean it. We tried to check in 20 min early and were told no and had to wait until 4pm exactly. My only major complaint was the warm bedroom. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Wonderful location

The condo was as represented. We were right on the water. The pool, spa, and barbecues were a few steps away. The two hi def tvs were nice to have. Shopping and golf were handy, as well. Overall, a good experience.
