“The staff and the food were excellent and without fault. The rooms are similar to other Best Western hotels I've stayed in, in so much as they are a little dated, however the venue was quiet and I had a good nights sleep.”

This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back. ”

“Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly Friendly staff, a clean room, and very comfortable beds. There is also plenty of parking available right outside, which was very convenient. We especially liked that you could always go to the reception area to pick up extra tea bags, coffee, sugar, etc. to use with the kettle in the room. During our three-day stay, the room was cleaned on request, and towels were changed upon request as well. When I asked for fresh towels, they arrived promptly—and as a lovely...

“Nice room and great breakfast but bed was a bit hard and the sink in our room filled up and water took ages to go down. Also black bits came out of the cold tap so we didn’t fancy drinking the water from it. ”

The only thing I did not like were the pillows., they were lumpy. Breakfast was excellent. We definitely recommend staying at brandshatch!!!”

“Nice breakfast options, friendly staff. However, check in process wasn’t very smooth as they did not know whether we paid beforehand and questioned it even after showing her the receipt. The bed was quite small - small double - there was also dead bugs on the wall which made the room a little uncomfortable. ”
