This is the second time we have stayed in this neighborhood in back to back years. The views, privacy, and location could not be matched. Of course, these amenities come with a price. However, this time we left feeling we didn’t get the same value we did a a different home last year.
Scenic Stays is the management company that runs the property for the owners. We have had to deal with them in the past. Their text and app services are very quick to inform you when to check in, what codes you’ll need, and when you need to checkout. If you need something, do not use the text or app. It’s useless. Call them. And if they need an answer from the owner, forget it.
We arrived on 7/5 from a 9 hour drive about an hour early from checkin. After sending a message requesting a early checkin with no response, we we tested our luck and were able to gain access. The fridge was broken, we had to bring the one they dropped off upstairs into the kitchen (that was fun) because they were just going to leave it in the garage…how convenient. You can’t turn the air down below 72. The house had several unfinished areas and some lighting appliances missing. No golf cart key.
I don’t think they’re quite ready to host. We made it a great time, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It was just a little disappointing for that kind of money.
