TV not working. Dated room but comfortable and perfectly acceptable. Very basic breakfast. Spa with 75% of facilities operational.

My second stay here in the last couple of months and once again I was not disappointed. I stayed on the main building with a lovely room. I used the gym facilities and instead of dining elsewhere, decided to stay on site and eat at their restaurant. The food was utterly delicious and completely vindicated my decision. A great night's sleep was followed by a cracking breakfast with me fully refreshed for the day ahead. The staff were really friendly and I will be here again when I am next in the area.

My first time staying here and I was immediately impressed with the scope of the site, especially with the parking which was close to the main building, reception and annex building. I was politely greeted and went to my room in the annex building. The room was clean and well decorated with a working air con system. There were plenty of dining options within a couple of miles of the hotel. I booked the hotel as it included a gym set up. There were a good selection of cardio machines but only a few workstations for weight training and the dumbbell options only went up to 7kg. Despite that, I was able to cobble together some form of workout. The bed provided a great night's sleep after a decent shower. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with the cooked breakfast ingredients of a very high quality leading me to think they were locally sourced but there were also continental options available. All in all it was a pleasant stay and I would gladly come back here.

curiously this hotel and spa has a strange idea of customer service, residents staying in the hotel are not allowed to use the Swimming pool or gym between 11 and 3 every day, which is not stated anywhere on the website or booking site platforms this consists of 3 buildings and the far building where the pool is has steps down and up to access with no ramps to help with suitcases, also the pathway to the hotel is uneven and needs better lighting for the winter months moving from one building to another is outdoors so prepare to get wet going to get breakfast. food menu was varied and we eat on two nights, food on first night was very oily and plate was covered in oil and tasted odd, staff in the resturant were polite and nice although should not be chewing gum while serving and talking to diners. Housekeeping staff were very good and very friendly and rooms were very clean and we wel maintained air conditioning/heater was extremely noisy so could not be left running during the evening and night there are no available seating other than the bar during the day, staff did not apprear to be customer focused, which was disapointing

Drink options great. Very clean room. Fixtures are worn and dated, but very clean. Room was very spacious and had every thing you need ie tea, coffee, biscuits, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries. If you need disabled room, you will need to ask as there are steps up to the rooms otherwise. Spa facilities are lovely. So clean and organised. Lovely swimming pool. The restaurant is tired decor wise, but the staff are so friendly, efficient, and the food was great quality, price and great portion sizes. Compliments to the chef. Breakfast too was very tasty, fresh, veggie option for me, and plentyful. We had a wonderful overnight break and are definitely going back for one of their entertainment evening's.

Fantastic hotel and the room was amazing. Francis couldn’t have been more helpful. We had Sunday lunch there which is a must when in the area and fish n chips on the night were amazing 10/10 brilliant

Staff were extremely kind and helpful, the pool area was clean but really not happy with how the rooms are maintained one of our curtains came off the hook and was hanging uneven, the cleaning staff serviced the rooms 2 times but still left it unfixed. The carpets weren’t hoovered when we returned to our room in the evening it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. I had to specify everything at the reception and then they got it done for us. Also, the pool access timings are very limited which was not mentioned on the website when I was booking the hotel. The terms and conditions mentioned on the expedia website are quite different to the hotels terms and conditions. It was very confusing.
