“What a spectacular place. Rooms are somewhat colonial but so comfortable. The grounds are super and we got to drink wine and watch the sunset each night on Adaondak chairs. Each morning there was a basket at the door left quietly at 0700. Inside is a carafe of coffee, all the fixings, pastry, juice. Staff person who moved us explained that the hotel has a very old boiler and at times it causes the plumbing to make those loud noises. In the new room it was quiet, but my bedside lamp did not turn on, the small hair dryer we used briefly got...

“The property was nice. The scenery was very inviting and relaxing. The queen room was nice, all the charm and character of an old home was present. Breakfast consisted of a hot prepared meal, was delicious. The inn keeper was not very welcoming and inviting. When we arrived, instantly he was very grouchy and complained about how we booked the reservation. It was very off-putting. The next morning he did not acknowledge us when we said, “good morning.” It doesn’t take much to be pleasant...
