  • Secluded cabin in the woods located in Nebo, NC in close proximity to Lake James, known to be one of the most scenic and cleanest lakes in the Southeast. We have an awesome outdoor area to enjoy with fire pit to relax around. Property directly links to the OverMountain Victory Trail via stone staircase with access to hundreds of miles of beautiful hiking. We are best suited to sleep 4 but 6 is ok if you don't mind a sleeper sofa (its new). We are located 4 miles from the Linville Gorge, 2.2 miles from Lake James State Park, 1.2 miles from Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill, and 7 miles from Mica Town Brewery Nebo. Marion Lake Club is within about 5 miles if you love golf, they also have a very tasty bistro called Slices. Mountain bike, hike, swim, kayak or canoe at Lake James State Park. Rent a boat to enjoy Lake James. Unfortunately, our property does not have adequate space for you to bring your own boat.

This was the cutest spot for our couples getaway weekend! Reasonable rate, clean, in nature, and close to good hiking spots and Fonta Flora Brewery!

What a great place to stay. Wife and I and the pups just wanted something for a couple of days to check out the area and this was perfect! Cute, clean and hosts were great!

This was a peaceful place to stay with our pup, while we enjoyed hiking in the beautiful surrounding area. The cabin was clean and the check in and check out process was easy.

We loved this property, feels like a real escape. We brought our pup along with us and we all enjoyed hikes right out the back yard. Fonta Flora is a must go. It had everything we needed for a cabin in the woods!

We loved this property! It was so private, and although we didn’t hike to Fonta Flora Brewery from the house (it was just too hot) we really loved the close proximity of all of the other great trails. The house was comfortable (I might suggest a fan for the front bedroom) and we had everything we needed and more.

Great place to stay! It is very clean and has everything that one would need: strong wifi (great for streaming TV}, comfortable beds, very quiet and close to fun activites! I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay.

We loved our second stay here at thebTrails End cabin. I love the property grounds so much. Lots of room for our dogs to wander and sniff around! The proximity to lake James state park and the fonta flora brewery cannot be beat!

The cabin was absolutely adorable. Stocked with all the necessary supplies, great fire pit area, trails right behind the house, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms, clean bathrooms, I loved it all.

The place was clean and had what we needed for a couple days. During our stay it got very cold at night and there were not any heat vents in back bedroom.

Trails end cabin

Peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy with family or friends. If you travel with your dog this is a great place for a canine companion. It is convenient to Lake James and great options for hiking.

The property was better than it shows online! It’s quaint, private, and homey. The outdoor area which is always top priority for me was beautiful and peaceful. We loved being able to walk right up the stone steps and wander trails for miles. We ended up at the brewery and then kept going and found an awesome little mountain stream. The area is close to Lake James and all the mountain activities you are probably looking for. Don’t hesitate to book!
