  • This historic cottage known as the Alston-Charlotte dates back to the mid 1700's and it is one of ten oldest existing homes in Historic Downtown New Bern. This rare cottage style home is brimming with character and charm. The whimsical backyard is perfect for relaxing complete with stone walls to offer privacy and off street parking. You will be in the heart of thriving Historic Downtown New Bern, a very short walk to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and more! River tours, museums and historic walking tours await in New Bern or take a short 35 minute drive and see the Emerald Isle.

Beautifully decorated and super clean. Impeccable attention to details that make a guest feel welcome. Lovely back deck for drinking morning coffee. Within a few blocks from great restaurants that we walked to every night. Would stay here again.

Cute and well done!

The house is perfect for a couple or small family. Amenities are great and the house is in excellent condition. It was everything we were looking for...walkable to downtown and fenced in yard for fur babies. Coffee shop and great restaurant a block away. Would definitely stay here again.

New Bern Scouting Trip

A charming little house, one of the oldest in New Bern. The location sits in the Beer-muda triangle (super close to three local breweries) with easy access to downtown. Great communications with the owner.

Everything was perfect

House is meticulously maintained. Every detail was accounted for, plenty of everything (dishes, cookware, blankets, toiletries, water). The check in was easy and is an easy 5 star review to give. Good feel to the house! Will definitely stay here again
