Disappointed

At booking requested early check-in and was told they wouldn’t know until one or two days prior. One day before, around noon, I sent a message through VRBO asking about early check-in. I didn’t receive a response until almost 9:30am next morning that we could check-in at 2:00pm instead of 4:00pm. By then it was too late to communicate to my group so that we could take advantage of the early check-in. We weren’t able to get in until 4:00pm because they communicated too late. The advertisement shows fire pits on the property, which for us was a selling point to book. We bought 4 days worth of wood, hauled the wood to the property. We began to prepare the pit for fire only to have a neighbor tell us there was a burn ban. The burn ban began on October 2nd. We rented the property during Thanksgiving week. We booked in September. There was communication about reminders but they never mentioned the burn ban. There were notes throughout the property telling us what we weren’t allowed to do. Some of those notes were a little condescending as if we were a bunch of kids and made us feel a little unwelcome. Keurig did not work. A house that sleeps 18 people, had only 7 forks. Some had to eat with spoons. Be careful with the big oven, it cooks extremely fast. We burned our first round of food. They had a beautiful kitchen bar window that was bolted shut, a great sliding glass door to the deck that was locked from the top. The property was beautiful but disappointing for the cost

Perfect River Weekend

We had a great time this weekend at this river house. The house is new, clean and classy. Everything you need is available in the house from kitchen supplies, extra bath towels, blankets and games. The outdoor space is as great as the indoor space, easy access into the water and beautiful views! We would love to stay here again - it was perfect!

Great family getaway!

This is the perfect property to sit and relax and enjoy the river! Our party of 13 were extremely comfortable and plenty of room in the 4 bedrooms and common loft area. The river is perfect to wade out and sit in chairs or tie up floats together and watch other tubers float by. We went into Gruene and New Braunfels which are each about 15-20 minute drive. I would definitely book this property again!

Wonderful River house

The house was great. Nice and Clean, stylishly decorated , and well arranged for large families . Easy access to the river in an area that is Shallow so kids can wade and play or you sit in a chair . The only suggestion I would make is gate one patio to eliminate access to the stairway or front yard. Also River road can be busy and with young kids and pets it would be nice to have a fence along the front as well to be sure no way kids or pets could Get in the street. We would definitely rent it again. We are a large family with young grandchildren and it was wonderful ! If it were summer you would want to bring lawn chairs , floats , yard games to play .

We are already planning our next trip to stay here!

We had 15 people for our extended family Christmas celebration. This house is gorgeous!! Every detail in the home is designed to perfection!! We love the large yard for games and the fire pit under the party lights!! Large living areas and plenty of room for us all!! I was under a lot of pressure to plan for such a large group and all I got were compliments on a job well done!! I would give more than 5 stars if I could!!

Awesome House

Been staying at vacation rentals for the past 5 years and without a doubt, this house was the best ever. House has everything you need and the interior decor is awesome. Bunkbeds for kids were a hit. Landscaping and access to the river were also awesome. Will definitely come back in the future.

A great escape

Awesome getaway!

The house was absolutely perfect! It was in a great location, and had plenty of room for 17 people. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. All of the pictures of this listing are completely accurate. This place is really nice and well designed. Everyone in the group thought we picked the perfect place! If you are going to float the river, you can walk 5 minutes down the road to Lone Star Float House. They will take you up river to float back down to their place. This made it very easy because we didn’t have to drive anywhere!

Summer river trip

Great home with terrific location. Only challenge was the oven didn’t work very well and need to have some more basic cooking utensils. Having the kayak and canoe was nice as well as the great river access. Beds were comfortable and loved the covered deck with the string lights outside.
