  • From catch-and-release fishing ponds to a fire pit and on-site walking trails, this 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental offers a peaceful New Concord escape. Enjoy access to a grill, and 2 ponds stocked with catfish, bluegill, and crappie. Cast a line for a catch or enjoy walking on the trails and along the creek. This cozy cabin is situated just 10 miles from Paris Landing State Park, 13 miles from The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, and 12 miles from Murray State University.

It’s cute! When we walked it, we could smell it was freshly cleaned and had a cute welcome book about the cabin. We received a text from the property manager asking if we had any needs and welcomed us. It was quiet and a relaxing weekend away. Bring a fishing pole for the catch and release pond. The property also has a mysterious BIG bunny that was fun to check up on.

Quiet Cabin Getaway

Off the beaten path cabin in New Concord that offers quiet scenery. The kids thoroughly enjoyed fishing and the creek. Our cabin had a sweet little fire pit perfect for evening wind downs and s'more's. There’s also bee hives on the property and you can buy local honey.

Peaceful Retreat

My family stayed 4 nights here in July and absolutely had a wonderful time. It was the perfect secluded getaway. We really enjoyed the property and the ponds on the property. We fished every day! My 4 year old out fished us all and caught a monster catfish! The property and surrounding area is beautiful. Very relaxing and peaceful. It's a little bit of a drive to anything but dollar general but that's what we was looking for! The property manager was very attentive and friendly. Check in and check out was super easy! Nothing but great things to say about our stay! We will definitely be visiting again 😊

The location is great for a cabin. Due to it being our daughter's wedding weekend, we didn't get to enjoy the cabin as much as we would have liked. The firepit outside was so cozy!

Perfect family getaway

My family and I were looking for a nice relaxing getaway and we sure got it. This was by far the best trip we’ve ever taken. Not only did we enjoy our stay we found a new home away from home. This place is so peaceful and quiet. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very nice and welcoming. They make it a very easy and effortless experience. One of the nicest things is we had no cell service so we got to detach from all stresses of life. The only disappointing part of this trip was having to leave this little piece of heaven in the woods and we can’t wait to go back.

My family of 7 rented 2 cabins and they were amazing the owner was beyond accommodating. A bad storm came through and fried the WiFi they did everything they could to get it working right away. Also the property was beautiful and clean. Will be returning.

Great for dogs

Very quaint and clean property. We rented it purposely so our dogs could swim in the pond. The ponds were so low though there really wasn’t any fishing to be done but the dogs still loved it. Location was excellent. I wish we would have known ahead of time that there were two loose dogs in the area.. Had to keep an eye on our dogs when they went outside to go potty. The absolute only drawback to the property was the mattress in the main bedroom was not very comfortable! Excellent communication with owners.

VERTY NEAT AND CLEAN

Cabin was neat and very clean. Well organized and very well stocked. It was immediately obvious the attention to detail given by the owners. Layout of the cabin was great for 2 adults and 2 pre-teens (bedrooms on opposite ends so we didn't have to listen to video games all night). It's very quiet, peaceful, private, and easily accessible with almost no traffic. The property surrounding the cabin is very well taken care of with plenty for everyone to explore and do.....plenty of wildlife and fish in the ponds. Kentucky lake and great restaurants are within a 10 min. drive. Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is a short scenic drive across the bridge and is a fantastic little day trip. Owners were great and communicated very very well. In short, if your idea of a relaxing getaway is peace and quiet, and you appreciate the charm of a rustic cabin, yet you require cleanliness..........you won't go wrong with this property. We look forward to getting the opportunity to book another stay soon.

Not what was advertised

Checking in was easy. A phone call and a few instructions was all that was needed. Once we got there things changed quite quickly. The exterior of the property was a mess. The grass hadn't been mowed in some time firepit smoldering with trash and candy wrappers on ground. There were old doughnuts in the yard along with a slew of tomatoes and a pile of an unknow white substance. Also the exterior landscape was very old with faded mulch, weeds in landscape and the place could use a pressure washing and fresh stain if it were to accurately represent the pictures on Vrbo. There is a personal saw mill on the property, which provided three foot slabs of wet firewood which smoldered for several hours. Once inside the residence was clean and pretty nice. My only complaint with the inside was lack of central air. the A/C was a window unit that would freeze you out of the living room, but leave the bed rooms very warm in the night.(Even with the two box fans provided). My biggest complaint is the outdoor amenities. I specifically booked this place due to the "STOCKED" fishing ponds and walking trails. Neither were accurately represented. Both ponds were 6-8 feet low of water and the only fish we caught were 2-3 inch bluegills. The walking trails were rock roads that went between the four houses and into the timber, which showed as a road on my phones map. Very disappointing for my family. The are nice thing in the area, and Land Between the Lakes is very nice, but I would look for other places to stay other that this listing. It was available and fairly cheap, but if I go back I will stay somewhere else.

Me and my wife chose to spend our second anniversary here. We spent 7 days relaxing, boating, fishing and sitting around a campfire with friends. The owners were great as was the property. I can’t wait to return!

Wonderful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were looking for get away and relax and we found just that. Easy access, fantastic view of the stars at night. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Our group is already planning on coming back next year if we can.
