Gorgeous Dog Friendly Cottage - New Forest And Close To The Beach - Hampshire

A fabulously relaxing holiday home, Inglewood Cottage provides for both a family friendly or couples holiday in a stunning location of the south coast. The cottage is located within New Milton, a bustling small town on the edge of the beautiful New Forest, within easy reach of the stunning local beaches. Barton on Sea is the nearest beach which you can walk to in 40 minutes with clifftop views overlooking the Needles on the Isle of Wight. Gorgeous forest walks are just 10 minutes in car with many car park areas. See the wild ponies, donkeys and may be even deer.

Our 3 bedroom (including ground floor master ensuite) 6 person plus baby cottage is located on a quiet road and offers plenty of space for families, small groups of friends or couples looking for a holiday which provides a bit of an escape but at the same time being close to amenities and attractions.

Dog friendly - we welcome up to 3 dogs. Fully enclosed garden. If you wish dogs to sleep on the beds, please bring your own linen.

The ground floor master bedroom and ensuite bathroom are great for those not wanting the use of stairs.
The town centre provides all required shops for everyday items including a post office, pharmacies, baker, M&S and Morrisons supermarkets, and a selection of takeaways and cafes. A large Tesco is also located within half a mile and is within strolling distance for those forgotten holiday essentials. A welcome pack is included for your arrival.

The cottage offers spacious modern accommodation with a lovely roomy feel as the dining area and kitchen are open plan, and the lounge offers a 2 seater and 3 seater sofa with 2 easy chairs and a footstool. The two larger bedrooms are spacious enough room for kingsize beds, with space for a cot in either bedroom, and the twin bedroom is tucked nicely into the eaves with lots of room to relax.

The open plan fully fitted kitchen includes a range cooker with gas hob and electric double oven and separate grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, air fryer, microwave and toaster. A Tassimo Coffee machine with pods provided adds an element of elegance to your coffee.

The kitchen breakfast bar provides seating for 4 with a Freeview TV and the adjacent dining area has a large 6 seater table with ample space for dinner parties!

A washing machine is located in the separate Utility Area with a sink and leads directly from the kitchen. The external door from here opens to the rear garden patio area.

All crockery and cutlery are provided together with cookware including saucepans, frying pan, wok, a great assortment of ovenware and lots of wine glasses for a relaxing drink. A highchair is also provided.

The cottage has a large and airy living room with a 43" Smart TV with Virgin box, Virgin Wifi, Soundbox, DVD player. Free Netflix is also included. Seating for up to 7 people provided by two sofas and two comfortable chairs and a footstool. Two children's wicker chairs are also in the lounge.

A large assortment of games and toys for all ages together with a large selection of novels and childrens books are in the lounge dresser and bookcase.

Underfloor heating throughout gives an exceptionally cosy feel and an electric fire in the lounge provides additional warmth for cooler spring and autumn evenings.

Double doors from the lounge open out onto the raised terrace with a circular table and chairs and 6 seat woodern table set on the patio area. The lawned garden with it's pretty pergola with honeysuckle provides a perfect location for relaxing on a hot summer day. Fully enclosed by fencing on all sides and not overlooked gives a secluded feel to the garden. A large BBQ allows for al-fresco dining together with the provision of elegant outdoor crockery.

There is a separate downstairs cloakroom in the hallway. A storage cupboard in the hallway houses the ironing board, highchair, beach towels, fans and umbrellas.

The cottage has three bedrooms, of which the master bedroom with ensuite is located on the Ground Floor. This has a King Size bed; there is plenty of storage space with two wardrobe, drawers and dressing table. An ensuite bathroom with large bath and separate power shower serves this bedroom.

There are two first floor bedrooms up in the eaves of the cottage; one with a King Size bed, fitted wardrobes, and chest of drawers and dressing table, and the other with Twin Single beds and fitted wardrobe and drawers and dressing table.

All bedrooms have Smart TVs with free Netflix.

The upstairs bathroom has a bath and separate power shower.

The cottage has a garage and off street parking for up to two cars depending on size.

A travel cot and stair gates can be provided upon request. All the bedrooms have ample storage space with additional upstairs hall storage for cases and travel bags.

A Luxury Welcome Park with New Forest local produce will be provided to include both essentials and luxuries. A reduced welcome pack is provided for stays of 3 nights.

Cleaning pack including a supply of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid and bin bags will be provided.

Childrens cutlery, plates, bowls and plastic cups provided.

Heating is provided by underfloor heating - lovely and warm for the feet!

For a two week or longer stay - a cleaning service and change of bed linen is provided on a Friday, fully included in the cost of your stay.

Rear garden laid to lawn with two patio areas. Garden furniture sets both seat 6 people. Two reclining loungers. Deck chairs also available for beach use.

A gas BBQ is available for use on those balmy evenings when eating al fresco.

A tumble dryer is located in the garage.

Buckets and spades, crab lines and fishing nets are available in the garage.

Parking for one car at the front of the property depending on size and additional on the road parking. Electric vehicle charging on site for an additional fee.

Car park pass for New Forest town and village car parks supplied for two cars for 3 hours free parking.

There are numerous attractions in the forest that offer all types of activities for families, couples and groups. As well as the outstanding natural beauty and wildlife, there is so much more to see and do eg. horse riding, cycle hire and paddleboarding are all readily available.

For the more adventurous, the adventure parks are always an exciting option, including Paultons Family Theme Park with Peppa Pig World, Moors Valley Country Park including an exhilarating high level tree walk, and Beaulieu Motor Museum which has go-karts for those who are wanting a faster pace.

Bournemouth town centre, a 30 minute picturesque drive, is a lively holiday destination with excellent beaches, shops and entertainment venues.

Barton on Sea - just a mile away - the nearest beach, 5* rated, is the nearest of many local peaceful beaches, a 40 minute walk or a few minutes by car. Affording magnificent views of the Needles on the Isle of Wight, there are wonderful cliff top and beach walks, a golf course, and the popular Beachcomber Cafe with garden providing breakfasts, lunches and snacks and an ice cream parlour. The 5* rated Pebble Beach restaurant is also located on the clifftop, with open air dining on the patio (a great favourite of ours) and indoor dining for the cooler months.

Lymington, just a few miles along the coast road, is a quaint Georgian market town with a great selection of boutiques and shops, has a wonderful quay with a pub and terrace for those lazy days watching the boats go by.

Nearby Christchurch, a medieval town steeped in history, provides a quiet interlude with walks along the River Avon, a Priory Church and Castle Ruins. Modern coffee houses are interspersed with gift shops and a bandstand on the Quomps provides musical entertainment on hot sunny days. Feed the swans and wander along the banks of the Avon river at your leisure!

Go crabbing on Mudeford Quay - loads of crabs to catch - lines and buckets provided at the cottage!

Keyhaven Nature reserve - walk across the salt marshes and view the varied wildlife.

Visit Lyndhurst - Alice Liddell "Alice in Wonderland"s home town, shops, eateries and a museum in which to while away a few hours.

For those willing to travel a little further afield into the county of Dorset there are numerous beautiful towns, for example, Wimborne Minster, Shaftesbury and Dorchester, and many family attractions such as Farmer Palmers Animal Park, Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum. The spectacular Jurassic Coast with the famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove provides breathtaking views and memorable days out.

Market days are in the towns are busy and bustling: Lymington - Saturday; New Milton - Wednesday; Christchurch - Monday. Buses run half hourly from Station Road/Whitefield Road, and a hop on hail and ride bus outside the cottage will take you easily to either Lymington.
