North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including Jackson Square (1.5 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (0.9 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.8 Miles), and the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.0 Miles).

Mid-City has a pulse that's hard to explain until you've lived inside it for a few days — the clang of the Canal Streetcar, the smell of coffee from a corner shop, the way an ordinary Tuesday evening sounds like a celebration somewhere down the block. This three-bedroom first-floor unit in a classic New Orleans duplex drops you right into that rhythm, with everything you need to make it a proper home base.

The living space
A bright, comfortable living room anchors the common area, centered on a 45-inch HDTV with Netflix and access to your own streaming apps. Central air conditioning and ceiling fans keep the temperature in check no matter what the weather is doing outside, and room-darkening shades mean a late night in the Quarter doesn't have to mean an early morning. When the work can't wait, a dedicated workspace in a room with a door gives you a quiet, separate corner to focus.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms accommodate up to six guests across three beds. Bed linens, towels, and essentials are provided, along with hangers, clothing storage, and an iron — the kind of details that make a longer stay feel easy. Long-term stays of 28 days or more are welcome.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, a baking sheet, and coffee already stocked. Whether you're piecing together a meal after a long day or starting the morning slow, the setup handles it without a fuss.

Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms keep things running smoothly for a group of six. Both are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, a hair dryer, and cleaning products. One includes a bathtub - useful when you want something more than a quick rinse after a day on your feet.

Extras that matter
An in-unit washer and dryer takes laundry off the list. A patio or balcony gives you an outdoor spot to sit and decompress. Self check-in via smart lock means arrival happens on your schedule, with no coordination required. Free street parking is available, and the home is single-level with no interior stairs. Families traveling with little ones can request a pack 'n play with sheets and a folding high chair with padding, straps, and food tray - babysitter recommendations are available if you want a proper night out. Exterior security cameras are present on the property.

The neighborhood
The Canal Street streetcar stop is steps from the front door, putting the French Quarter, Downtown, and the historic City of the Dead cemeteries within easy reach without a car. At 0.9 miles from the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, the location is hard to beat for game days, concerts, and big events. The Lafitte Greenway - a 2.6-mile trail running from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue - cuts right through the neighborhood and threads past local cafes, a micro-brewery, and more than a few po' boy spots worth stopping at. Ruby Slipper Cafe is a short walk for a New Orleans brunch done right. Jackson Square sits 1.5 miles out, the National WWII Museum 2.8 miles, and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 around 3 miles away. When Mardi Gras season rolls in, the home sits steps from the Endymion and Zulu parade routes - a position that's genuinely hard to come by.

A smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all present in the home. Cleaning is available during your stay. This is a unit within a duplex.
