The Garden Gate is a wonderful place, and I hope it will remain that way after is sold by the current owners. Carol the current owner has taken so much pride in her facility and invested so much of herself operating her business. Her influence is everywhere, but she has decided it is time for a new venture in her life, and so well deserved for her and Doug. We wish them the best as we do the new owners. If we make it back to Amish country, I would not hesitate to reserve another room.

Our room was clean and tidy. Carol couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. She was always concerned that our needs were exceptionally met. We rested and rested and rested because it was so quiet there. And it was so charming. We couldn’t have been more pleased to stay there. We are looking forward to coming back to stay there on our next visit!

Cozy B&B, great hosts

Carol and Doug were the best hosts! They were so nice and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and cozy, super comfortable. We got a little lost coming in during a dark, rainy night but other than that there were no issues. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we will definitely be back!

We had a small cottage at the back of the property. Very cozy and private cottage. Owners were very friendly and available. Located in Holmes County Amish Country. Very accessible to all of the area attractions. Several Amish passing by on the roads around the property.

Beautiful garden setting in Amish country. Loved all the swings and garden area. Lovely fire table with room enough for the 10 of us to gather under a beautiful new gazebo. The gardens and rooms require a lot of work and need it!

Property was picturesque. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Much appreciated the no smoking, no pets. Hosts were warm and friendly. Made you feel at home and welcome. We were upgraded to a cozy cabin that was clean and modern, with beautiful views. Loved our visits at breakfeast with Carol & Doug and other guests. Will plan another future visit.

Just ok place to stay

I was disappointed in the fact that it was advertised as a B&B but the breakfast was very limited. The room is was clean. The grounds were being cleaned up after a storm so it is difficult to comment on them. The owners were friendly.
