It was a perfect "home base" for a wedding in New Tripoli. We were also celebrating 10 years together and got engaged on the flight home. Wonderful hosts.

1/30/26-We had a very nice stay.The bed was very soft&comfortable.The place did not have a stove but had a double hot plate,toater oven,microwave,egg sandwhich maker&keurig.We stayed the weekend &enjoyed the shuffle board&pool table so much with many games of both!On the way up, we ate in Breinigsville at a place we like called Demarco's. On Saturday we drove to Skuykill Haven for mass at St Ambrose to visit a friend&the three of us had dinner at an amazing place we HIGHLY recommend called The Nutty Pear--they are temporarily closed now for two months.Back to our stay-the view from our bed was amazing! It had snowed previously,it was a full moon,so the view could not have been more beautiful!With the fireplace going for about an hour the room was cozy.Mark was very attentive and bought us a cake cake for our 15th anniversary.Downside-would not have been a problem if it was not in the single digits-with being above garage, it was a little drafty by doors and windows.They had extra blankets in the bedtmroom,but i had packed my own and utilized it a lot.Like i said, may not have been as much of an issue if it had not been in the singke digits.My biggest issue was that the hot water smelled of sulfer.I sent Mark a message and he said he needed to drain the hot water heater which he did right away,in the coldand did what he needed to do to rectify the issue.When he completed the project,my husband was okay, but i am more sensitive so had to utilize bottled water for myself

What a wonderful first mini getaway of the New Year! We wanted a last minute impromptu overnight stay someplace not too far from home and the Carriage House was just perfect! Walking in to a dimly lit cozy space with music on for us was a nice feeling. The pool table was great as well as the shuffle board game! We had everything we needed for the night including a cozy couch to cuddle up on with a gas fireplace. The space was super clean and the continental breakfast was perfect. We will definitely be back for a longer stay to to enjoy the nearby lake!

Quiet, relaxing spot. The Carriage House is lovely. We walked up the stairs and were met with beautiful views of the cornfield and beyond that the mountains with music playing to greet us. Great place to stay. Owners were very communicative before our check in

We enjoyed how close our stay was to our venue, the Lakeside carriage house is beautiful, and where is located is lovely also. The host also baked a cake for us, celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary, that made it extra special. I would recommend others to stay at Lakeside.

This was a perfect little get away as I did some family history exploration in the valley. Great little general stores in the villages and good food at Kempton Hotel bar/restaurant. The carriage house has such a peaceful vibe and beautiful views of the valley/mountains. Hosts were lovely. Would love to stay again!

The very best PA stay!

As usual, the hosts, Mark and Diane have provided my family with a comfortable, sparkling clean, and beautiful bed and breakfast. I also noticed lots of new furniture and upgrades this year (this was our fifth year staying here btw) which proves that these hosts are fully committed to providing vacationers like me with an unforgettable trip. I travel for business all year round so I’ve become very picky with where I’m staying and I truly can’t recommend this cottage and host family enough. We can’t wait to get back there next spring!Thank you again!

Leaser Lake Carriage House

The carriage house was fantastic. My wife and I booked it for a night to stay after a local wedding. It's charming, quiet, and the amenities are awesome....right down to the breakfast sandwich machine and fresh OJ! Mark was great with communication. Overall 10/10 would recommend and come back.

Nice place, slightly limited kitchen

We were there for two nights and chose this place because it fit our needs -- was reasonably priced, slept two adults, and was nearby to Hawk Mountain. I didn't pay that much attention beforehand other than that. We were surprised to find a full-sized pool table and a somewhat limited kitchen. We shouldn't have been -- it's all there in the photos. And we had a great time playing pool and we were able to cook everything we needed in the kitchen. Be aware you will have one burner and no oven. The hosts were marvelous in their communication -- quick responses even bringing us additional salt but not intruding into the unit, just leaving it outside the door and texting us. Even giving us some recommendations after we left. The common outdoor space is also lovely.

Short but sweet stay

My husband and I had a great overnight stay at the Carriage House. Everything at the house was well thought out, from the food to the largest guest book I've ever come across. We really appreciated having the pool table and shuffleboard and the comfortable couch on a rainy Saturday night. Wish we could have stayed longer. We really look forward to returning to the property to fully take advantage of all that it has to offer. The lake, the hiking, and even the fire pit in the courtyard will all draw us back. Many thanks to Mark and Diane for their hospitality. Hope to be back again soon.

Relaxing

This property was immaculate. We enjoyed the shuffleboard and the pool table. The lake is lovely...I wish we had rented some kayaks. We stayed three night. We only went out to eat once. The kitchenette and gas grill provided everything we needed to cook meals. It was very quite and relaxing. The hosts, Mark and Diane, were extremely nice.

Terrific stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Mark and Dianne’s house. We kayaked at Leaser Lake which is a short distance from their house, did a beautiful hike, and had a restful nights sleep during our one night stay. The communication with Mark and Dianne was amazing! The view from their house was beautiful, landscaping around their property is gorgeous, and the house was very clean. Overall everything was terrific!

Carriage house

The carriage house was absolutely perfect for our marriage celebration getaway . Extremely clean , welcoming , quiet , very relaxing for together time for a short honeymoon getaway . Took a nice bike ride around the lake and enjoyed the different birds . The host Mark was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with . Welcomed us with a personal thoughtful touch of a congrats cake on the table for when we arrived . Thank you to the owners of the carriage house we will return at some point .

Valentines Day Getaway

This was a wonderful place for a couple to get away for some alone time. The house was immaculate, well equipped with everything you need, and the owners made every effort to ensure your stay was perfect. They even provided me with a Valentines Day cake for my wife!!! We highly recommend this property, and we will surely return here in the future!!!
