“The Royal Oak is outstanding in every respect. If you're staying a night, its facilities are unusually generous and extensive; if you're eating, the menu and the food are great; and if you just want a drink, there's a bar area and plenty of seating outside. The staff are lovely. Plus there's plenty of local information, books, games and events, not to mention a farm shop. If you can tear yourself away, visit Wayland's Smithy a couple of miles away along the Ridgeway.”

“Llegamos un domingo, y no se si es que no habia servicio de limpieza ese dia o que, pero el baño estaba completamente sin limpiar, el espejo daba pena de lo sucio que estaba, y el suelo solo un poco barrido. Al día siguiente si que lo dejaron bastante bien, pero la cama solo estiraban el edredon y nada más. No cambiaron las toallas, ni la alfombrilla de la ducha. “Loved that my room was in the main house. My room was small but it faced the garden where I could watch birds and squirls. Missed the hedgehogs. My bathroom was a few steps away from the room and it was good. The shower was pretty small. I got in but could not move around so I decided to wash off in sinks. The staff were wonderful to me. The manager told me more about the Manor House and it's age. At one time my family lived there so it was exciting to be able to stay. Breakfast was...
