“This was our 3rd visit to The Inn at South Stainley. We had 4 days and 3 nights and again we enjoyed ourselves. We had our dinner for 3 nights at The Inn which were filling and excellent. Likewise can be said for the breakfast we also had. The room we stayed in was in premises alongside The Inn which was of a high standard and serviced daily. Hopefully we will be back. Thanks”

The initial room smelt damp and fusty, to the extent of triggering coughs. The shower was cold and the shower drain was blocked so spilled over. “Escogí a este hotel por el diseño y la cercanía a York. Se tarde 30 minutos en tren desde Harrogate (1 hora en coche !). El hotel es una joya, elegante, muy limpio, con baños muy modernos y unos desayunos espectaculares. Esta muy cuidado y se muestra el buen gusto de los dueños. En cuanto a Harrogate, es menos conocido pero merece la pena la visita, especialmente por los parques, tiendas, los baños turcos y Betty's Tearoom, donde se puede disfrutar del mejor afternoon tea!”

“The property itself was well presented and clean, and the room was also clean on arrival. However, we had booked a "Luxury King Room" and felt the description was somewhat misleading. The bed was actually a double rather than a king-size bed (which I later noticed is stated in the room details), so the room name itself felt confusing. I’d also say the "luxury" description was an overstatement, as the room felt more basic/average than expected. Unfortunately, we had quite a poor night's sleep....

“Room was lovely, but the mattress was obviously old as it sagged in the middle. The hotel is right on a main road so a lot of noise and music playing till very late in the evening. It’s ok for an overnight stay but wouldn’t recommend longer”
