Ruined Vacation - Serious issues with the Property owner and unprofessional behaviour (part I)

Our recent stay at this house in Niagara was a major disappointment, and unfortunately, it significantly impacted our vacation in a negative way. 1. Thermostat Problems: The thermostat was not functioning correctly, leaving the upstairs rooms unbearably hot. Despite setting it at a reasonable temperature, the heat upstairs was oppressive, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep, especially during the night. This problem persisted throughout our stay and made relaxing in the house difficult. 2. Non-Working Cooking Fan: The kitchen exhaust fan was completely broken. This created a major safety issue when a small amount of smoke from cooking eggs triggered the fire alarm. Instead of simply airing out the kitchen, we ended up having to deal with a full-on visit from firefighters. It was a stressful and unnecessary situation that could have easily been avoided if basic maintenance had been done to ensure the kitchen appliances worked properly. 3. Fire Alarm Incident: The fire alarm going off turned a casual cooking moment into a stressful ordeal. We were embarrassed and inconvenienced, having to explain to the firefighters that it was a false alarm due to faulty equipment in the house. This should never have happened if the property was properly maintained.

Perfect Location

The house is old but appears to be well maintained. The location is ideal - it is about 5 minutes drive from everything you would want to see (historic district, niagara falls, casinos, shopping). Two minor issues - they didn't have any wash clothes. The one time we tried to bake something the fire alarm went off, even though there was no smoke anywhere. Suggest you don't try to cook.

Great location

This old style house is located in a quiet neighborhood, within a couple of blocks walk to the Rainbow Bridge and the falls. It is very comfortable and the amenities were as were advertised. We would definitely stay there again

Good stay, sufficient for our needs.

Great location if you want to be super close to the Falls (within walking distance if you are fit or used to walking). Very close to Clifton Hill, which is like a theme park just ourside the Falls Area (lots of shops, restaurants, games, skywheel, etc...) House was very clean and provided ample space. It's an older home and shows its age in some areas (upstairs bathroom) but sufficient for our needs. Owner kindly provided beverages (coffee, tea, waters, large bottle of Coke). Some ratings are a bit lower due to: - Owner did not provide enough toilet paper. We were there for three nights and there were six of us. - Owner did not respond at all when we inquired about potentially adjusting dates of stay, not even to say they could not accommodate our request. - Upstairs is significantly warmer than downstairs, despite air conditioning system. No fans provided and the weather was quite warm so caused some discomfort for sleeping at night.

Great location close to the Falls

House was tidy and neat, very cozy for a small group to bunk together. 5-10 minute walk away from Cliffton Hill and the main attraction (Falls). The host was very accommodating and had everything it needed to feel at home.

The home was very clean, all amenities you would need! Owner was very helpful and responses to any questions quickly once we got in the home . Very nice neighbourhood and was nice and close to the Falla. Very comfortable beds !!!

Not what advertised

Review -not a well maintain property -needs a face left. (As per picture ) -insufficient supplies Air conditioning issues we were not told about the roofer. It was an emergency but supplies on the property was for a complete roofing job -on Monday he said a couple of hrs when in deed it took 2 days. We couldn’t park our cars for two days and I had to pay 80.00 out of my owe pocket until he credited my account. The parking was 3 blocks away roughly 15 mins walk in durning a heat warning. The waste bin was suppose to be removed at the latest Monday. It was still there. See pictures -walking on a trap -mold in the bathroom -Electrical outlets -bins in driveway Nosie was unbearable therefore we had to stay out all day. Could not enjoy the patio He did give us 100.00 refund -I would never ever book again and all he did was lied and in a text say he could leave but we had no were to go last minute -Felt very uneasy that he was watching the house (probably because of roofers) but it still felt creepy. Sorry I don’t how to post pic.

How can anyone get tired of the Niagara Falls!

After driving all day we were so happy to relax in a comfortable, clean atmosphere, before sauntering down to the Falls. Our family from the UK had never seen them, and were amazed as we turned the last corner and saw the American Falls spread before us - just ten minutes or so from the rental house. The house itself was obviously an upscale home at one time, and a lot of thought has been put into updating it. Yes, I would say, staying there was good value for money!

Nice place great location

Nice home for our group and needs. Had everything we needed and a few extras like some cold drinks and other supplies. House could use a few upgrades in furnishings but was adequate. The best part was the location near the falls. 10 minute walk to everything. Parking is scarce at the falls so huge benefit. The host was easily and readily available for any questions. All in all a good stay and would use again.

Perfect place

This home met all our needs. Lots of space, comfortable furniture, outdoor canopy and seating and the perfect location. Our host was so cordial, responsive and informative. This is an older home where recent renovations have been done. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions.

Family Trip to Niagara Falls

We had a great stay! 2 adult children and myself and husband. It was great everyone had their own space. It is easy to get everywhere you need to go. We did a ton of walking for sure! Neighborhood is a bit old and at first I was nervous. This house is well kept though and we had zero issues. Thank you for the beverages and supplies during our stay! We would definitely stay here again!
