Kurt was fabulous to deal with, friendly, responsive and accommodating.The Lodge was the perfect place for our gathering, ample common area to gather and enough private areas to retreat to for privacy.The property is expansive, so lots of room for games, visits and fireside stories. The family appreciated the hot tub and it was super clean!Thank you Kurt for a lovely stay

Stayed for a couple nights with family to celebrate a big birthday in December. Had a great time, its an excellent location for a large group.

Great escape and ATV access

We really enjoyed our stay lots of deer hanging out in the back of the property, ATV trails right from the door great fire pit and fire place will certainly come back

Multigenerational vacation. Great location and activities for all ages. The building is well appointed and the property itself was expansive and well maintained. Kurt was always available and helpful navigating the area.

Beautiful space

We booked the beautiful chalet for our group of 14 for a retreat. It was the perfect space for our group. We loved that we could all eat together and enjoyed the fire and hot tub.

Soggiorno in famiglia a nordegg

Gran bel posto. Molto ben organizzato e pulito. La cucina è molto ben fornita. Tutto è molto chiaro. L'host kurt è molto gentile e competente. Un posto ideale per trascorrere dei bei giorni in famiglia e per rigenerarsi nella natura.

Friends weekend

We all truly enjoyed our stay. It’s an amazing place for family and friends to stay. The house was spotlessly clean and communication with the owner was outstanding. We would definitely book to stay on our weekend get-aways again. Thanks Kurt.

Great Cabin for a Group Stay!

A great cabin for a bigger group with plenty of common space inside and a nice green space in the backyard. Attached to walking trails that can take you to a creek or up a mountain. Great property!

The Perfect Christmas Cabin

Beautiful Area

Nice cabin that fit my extended family well. The fireplace is the main heat source however there isn’t a gate which was a concern given we had a toddler and child with us. Overall it was beautiful

A wonderful place to host a family get together

I love the setting, with nearby walking trails and so close to Nordegg townsite. Everything met or exceeded our expectations, great kitchen and dining room table for large get together. Prompt answers to questions from owner after booking.

Guys Trip!

Five of us guys (together since Junior High School) are all turning 60 this year. We have done a lot of annual guys trips, but this one was special due to our milestone birthdays. We rented the Lodge at Coliseum Mountain and it was awesome. The property was exactly as advertised and the host was excellent. It’s quiet, comfortable and scenic everywhere you look. We throughly enjoyed our stay and the area and would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay! The lodge is spacious, clean, and had everything we needed - including a fully stocked kitchen, and large bright dining room. Perfect for our intergenerational fam gathering, with plenty of indoor games, and outdoor fun with large firepit, hot tub, badminton, giant jenga and more. BONUS: Beautiful walking trails accessed right from back yard and on-site high end e-bike, kayak rentals. Kurt was beyond helpful and considerate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The lodge was amazing and spacious for our group of 13, we loved it! The kitchen was very well equipped with all kinds of spices, baking pans, blender, coffee maker, crockpot, large pots and pans, tons of dishes and utensils, etc. There are 2 large fridges and laundry washer and dryer available for use. There are board games and puzzles available in the closets. Towels are provided, the hot tub was awesome, the fire pit was stocked with firewood and kindling and everything you need to have several campfires; they even have wiener roasting sticks! The back yard is beautiful and has a net up and tons of yard games including cornhole, ladder toss, volleyball, Frisbee, bocce ball, badminton, etc. We saw deer visiting the yard numerous times throughout our stay - a highlight for the kids. There is a small playground for kids in the shared yard area. The dining table was a beautiful log table with benches that fits 14 people. There is a short hike from the back yard to a creek. The owners run an adventure business and you can book additional tours and adventures if desired, or even rent a canoe for the afternoon. Just a heads up, they do have free wifi as listed but it is limited and cannot be used for streaming - download any movies/shows onto your device ahead if you want to watch something. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this place for big group vacations!

Perfect spot in nature

The house was great! Kurt and Karla we great hosts. Very prompt in responding and kept in touch with us to make sure all was well. There was a ton of room outside to enjoy nature with a big yard. Having a hot tub was a bonus. Unfortunately, couldn’t use the fire pit because of the fire ban but the set up was perfect. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely recommend staying there and hope to be back ourselves.

Main Floor Mobility Accessible

We booked the property for family members attending a wedding near Nordegg. Kurt was very accommodating in us coming to view the property ahead of booking to ensure it was accessible for those using walkers and wheelchairs. The 3 rooms + family area on main floor were accessible and easy for them to manoeuvre. And although the kitchen was upstairs (and not accessible by all), there was a small fridge, coffee maker and table and chairs in the family area that worked well for light breakfasts over the weekend - which is just what we needed. Thanks to Kurt for helping us make this a memorable stay!

Summer vacation

The pictures don’t do it justice! The house and property are awesome. Beautiful yard, everything was very clean and very well stocked. There are so many amazing hikes and lakes in the Nordegg area, and this a perfect spot to stay to take advantage of them. Kurt was an amazing host, and very knowledgeable about the area. He has an outfitter supply shop right on sight to take kayaks and canoes fishing to nearby lakes. Guided hikes, ATV tours, E-bikes, helicopter tours, horseback riding etc. It was too hot for us to make use of the hot tub, but we did make use of the badminton, super Jenga and large connect 4 in the back yard! Highly recommend, we will be back.
