“The communication from Bicheno by the Bay was exceptional, making our check-in and checkout very simple (even considering we arrived after their reception had closed). We were given a larger room than we had booked, which was really lovely. It was well appointed with all the amenities we needed. It's situated in a great location close to all the local attractions and facilities (like the IGA). They provided a map of the local area and recommendations for where to go. We would happily stay here...

The beds were very comfy, the pantry was well stocked and Ross even had the house warmed for us before our arrival. The beautiful short private walk to the river allowed us to see a range of wildlife. Both Ross and Annie were very helpful with local knowledge and so friendly. “Lovely styled cottage .Loved that the heating was on & we had a lovely cheese platter to welcome us. We didn’t use the outside bath as it was a trifle cold in March. Ross is a great town to visit with lots of history. Food at the Ross hotel is wonderful .Also the bakery where they had inside seating was good for coffee & food.a very easy walk to all the places of interest in Ross. The train going past ,just across the road , particularly at night , disturbed our sleep unfortunately as it horn...

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Quiet and peaceful! The view from the living area, masterbed room and especially the deck was stunning! A very easy walk to the beach and a short drive to St Helens. It was wonderful to have the electric blankets on the beds as it got very cool on one of the nights. We would definitely recommend Dolphin Lookout Cottage to anyone!”
