The sweetest lil cottage right on the water. Clean, charming and very cozy. We loved the quiet neighborhood. We could kick back and relax in Zoes cottage. Felt safe and right at home!

We had an awesome week at Zoe's Cottage. There are a few things we look for in a vacation rental, and this one has it all! A great location - sometimes we were the only people on the beach, comfy beds, good showers, a kitchen we can actually cook in, and a covered outdoor space to hang out or eat. And, as a bonus, the cottage is super cute - with lots of art and beachy decor. Walking into the front gate felt magical. The area has lots of things to do, too. The zoo, the botanical gardens, Busch Gardens, restaurants, and more! Great week at the beach!

The house exceeded our expectations, beautifully decorated and came equipped with everything my 2 sisters and I needed for a lovely weekend together by the beach. The beach is right out the back gate and was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Marida was a wonderful host, communicated well with restaurant ideas and ensuring check in went smoothly and giving us heads up about the neighborhood cat that did in fact spend the weekend on the back porch. We will be back!

Beautiful home with lovely decorations.. So very cute. Got to walk on the beach every day. GREAT location.. Only negative was Murphy bed in second bedroom was very uncomfortable... I spent the week on the coach. But besides that really loved our stay.

My bestie and I had a quick 2 day trip for a wedding, we both just loved this cute cottage right away. Being able to walk right out to the beach was the best part of our initial walk thru. Both bedrooms are upstairs so just be ready and able to go up some tight steep steps, still a very cute place! Would book again 🙂 p.s. Oreo is a bug a boo, lucky he's cute and sweet

This is our first visit to the area and we were not sure what to expect. It was right up our alley, wonderful home and well kept. Obviously not a commercial property, this is someone's home. Every thing you could want was available at the home. The location to the beach was awesome and the bench on the dune was my favorite spot, I spent several hours there throughout my vacation. My wife's was the daybed on the porch. Not a tourist area, definitely residential. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, this is the place for you.

Zoe’s Cottage is charming and quaint! Has everything you need! Feels like you are staying with family as they entrust you with personal books and history pertaining to the cottage. It is a little bit of Heaven on Earth!

We came out to visit our daughter for Christmas who is stationed in Norfolk. This home was the perfect place for a winter beach vacation. The cottage has some great history. It was cozy & relaxing. We walked the beach everyday & drank our coffee from the bench just above the beach. And we had a sweet little kitty, Oreo, that lived down the beach & gave us much love everyday. Thank you for offering such a lovely place to stay to celebrate Christmas with family!

4 generations of family from Va Beach, Fredricksburg Va, Richardson TX and Albuquerque NM came together to celebrate our Mom, grandmom, great grand mom’s birthday. The Texas and NM contingent needed a place to stay and we found Zoe’s Cottage! Incredible place, carefully and artfully decorated, full kitchen supplies, tons of games, and literally on the beach with a great sunrise watching bench. We did an early Christmas gift exchange and game playing at the Cottage one evening; the rest of the time we chilled (literally - it was cold) and walked on the beach. Kroger is less than two miles away and Anchor Allie’s, Captain Groovys and Waffletown are in between. We will be back again!

We really enjoyed the cottage. Everything was great. The only thing I would suggest is to upgrade the queen bed. It was not very comfortable. Otherwise it was an amazing place to stay! I loved the private beach access and watching dolphins from the bench

Wonderful, fully functional beach front home. Plenty of outdoor living space. Front and back yard fenced in separately which makes it nice to separate kids and adults, adults and pets, etc.. Great place. Retired military so was easily able to rent a 19 ft shift for bay fishing. Fishing pier waas fun also.

We typically get away to the Caribbean or Florida gulf coast. This was a great, drivable option during the pandemic. Beautiful, private beach. Definitely recommend. Impressed that everything we needed was in the cottage.

One of the best VRBO experiences I’ve ever had. This cottage is adorable, perfectly appointed and the owners give it such loving care. They were completely responsive to anything that came up. I absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent hosts, quiet area perfect for our small family. High chair, pack n play and plenty of beach toys allowed us to travel lighter than usual for our toddler! The house was very clean and had very new appliances and huge washer and dryer. I highly recommend for parents of young children who need to break up beach time between naps and meals. It’s easy to do a short beach time since it’s just a walk across the back yard!

My wife and I stayed for two weeks at Zoe’s Cottage. Everything was just perfect. We visited the beautiful Norfolk Botanical Gardens but spent most of our time at the cottage. With the current state of affairs we weren’t comfortable going out to eat so we cooked and ate in. Everything we needed was there. The beach is beautiful and was never crowded. The bench on the dune is a great place to have a coffee and watch the sun come up, but it’s an even better place to have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. One of our best vacations. We highly recommend.

Zoe's Cottage was a beautiful getaway. We truly enjoyed our stay there. The ocean view was breath taking. We often had the beach to ourselves. The only problem I had was getting up and down the dune without any type of handrail. Being on full disability it was extremely difficult getting to the beach. What a SPECIAL Place! So much attention has been paid to detail! The owner was wonderful to work with, the cottage was super clean and cozy. I spent lots of time "on the bench" observing God's beauty that he has so graciously shared with us! The beach was never crowded and walks were met with smiles and good mornings. This property is charming and clearly loved by the owners as a historic gem on the bay. The home is very well appointed with towels, bedding and beach toys. The backyard is private and the access to the bay is awesome!. We loved early mornings and evenings where we might be the only ones in the water. There is plenty to do within 15 minutes to a half hour.

What a great place to relax and recuperate! We enjoyed Zoe's Cottage so much. The views from the windows and bench were extraordinary. The weather was fantastic for us, from the mid 80's to the 50's. I loved long walks on the beach every morning. We look forward to returning to Zoe's Cottage!
