Several living rooms on the ground floor act as lounges (two with wood fire chimineas) where the dinner order is taken and one can have a relaxed gin-tonic. Good restaurant with a decent wine list. Mrs Sweeney is a very gracious host and so are her staff.”

“Gorgeous hotel in a spectacular setting. There is a great restaraunt on the premises, and it's a short walk to the heart of the Enniscrone village. The room was massive, and our only complaint was a lack of air conditioning, and as we found in all of the hotels we stayed at in Ireland the bedding only has a duvet. As our room was on the sunny side of the hotel the room was quite warm and the windows only opened 7" or so. We were able to get a fan which helped, and used the flat sheet from one of...
