“This is not the stay we were expecting from the photos, which are clearly edited. The diner is long closed and the rooms are shabby with peeling ceilings and broken tubs. The neighborhood is a tent city with droves of unhoused persons in various states of intoxication. The location was handy for getting around and the tv channels were excellent. Lots of parking was available.”

“Juliette is a wonderful host and her home is clean and lovely - filled with organic and sustainable products and the breakfast was just what we needed after a week of bikepacking around the Cowichan Valley! Highly recommend this as a great way to celebrate the end of an adventure.”

“there is no staff there so you are on your own - but that is ok - it is a very small place - old but totally updated inside
no extra emenities at all on the outside (ice etc)
the stairs to the top floor are not the best but if you are fit, they work!!
Booking was great with Expedia but the hotel itself says you need to fill out a form and give 2 pieces if ID? which is not true!!
for the money it was worth it”

“The management hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The kitchenette equipment was missing some basic items , due to guests taking things , ( !? ) , but the management quickly provided some items needed. The suites are large and comfortably furnished, and the beds are too. The Lodge is very quiet and peaceful, and located very conveniently, walking distance to downtown and the Cowichan River ,and very near to the Highway 18 , to access driving Youbou or to Duncan and other...
