I can't say enough good things about this property. First of all Doug and Sandy are amazing hosts. They have thought of everything to ensure their guests have a 5 star experience. When we arrived they gave us a tour of the property and made us feel completely at home. The property itself is beautiful and cozy, the rooms are bright, comfortable and clean. I can't even explain how good the food was! We were offered a complimentary charcuterie the afternoon we arrived and the breakfast was to die for. They use local products as well as homemade jams, maple syrup and produce grown on their property. The almond croissants that Sandy makes are incredible! I will definitely be back and recommend their property to anyone who is looking for a quaint getaway.

Excellent 2 night couples stay

Was amazing from start to finish, Sandy and Doug were super hosts. Breakfast was absolutely super, such a selection. Would highly recommend you stay, beautiful property you won't be disappointed. They are very knowledgeable about the area and give lots of recommendations for things to do, or just relax in their beautiful home.

Tucked away in a serene and picturesque setting, Enduring Heart Bed and Breakfast is a true hidden gem that blends charm, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the Doug and Sandy, who made I feel like treasured guests rather than just visitors. The rooms are beautifully appointed, combining rustic 1830’s elegance with modern comforts. Every detail—from the crisp linens to the cozy, hand-picked decor—reflects care and thoughtfulness. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Breakfast in morning was a highlight: fresh, homemade, and locally sourced. Whether it was the special hapkap berry jam or homemade maple syrup, everything was delicious and prepared with love. What truly sets Enduring Heart apart is the feeling of peace it offers. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with spots for quiet reflection, reading, or simply enjoying nature, or even outdoor hot tub swimming pool or campfire. I left feeling recharged and genuinely cared for. Highly recommended for couples, solo travellers, or anyone in need of a restorative escape.

Very lovely, fully restored century home. Beautiful, peaceful location. Absolutely wonderful meals. Owners excellent hosts and able to give you history of the home and property. The room was comfortable and clean. I had a wonderful stay and recommend Sandy and Doug's B&B to everyone!

Quality of Enduring Heart Bed and Breakfast Inc

One simple term describes the condition of this B&B it was "spotless" throughout. The entrances , dining and lounge areas were very clean as was our bedroom and we had a fully renovated ensuite with soaker tub and self standing shower.

Sandy and Doug were fantastic and gracious hosts. It was a beautiful clean room, with a fantastic breakfast and amazing service. They know how to go above and beyond to make you feel special. For a quick getaway from Ottawa, this is a perfect spot.

The best mini vacation we’ve had in a long time! Sandy and Doug are absolute sweethearts and take such great pride in making sure your experience is impeccable! From home made desert and jams to supporting local artisans, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Not to mention the most comfortable bed and if all that isn’t enough, relaxing in the hot tub is sure to do to the trick! We plan on visiting regularly!

An amazing experience starting the welcoming communication before arrival to a lovely welcome by Sandy and Doug. There were snacks available and we were offered an unexpected charcuterie board or sweats plate which we had in the screen-in gazebo. The room was luxurious with a Nespresso machine, bottled water and cozy 5-star hotel robes. The bed was super comfortable. Sandy was very kind to accommodate gluten and food sensitivity requests in her gourmet style breakfast. The smoke salmon crepes were outstanding. We could go on and on. Thank you Sandy and Doug, We will be back.

We just finished a week of staying in 5-star hotels and dining Michelin star level restaurants in Montreal and Quebec City (Fairmont Frontenac etc) and let me tell you - this little place shames them all. Sandy has a gorgeous, and tastefully updated farmhouse on a pretty piece of paradise just off the 416 that gives luxury a run for its money. Elite charcuterie upon arrival, beautiful room, well appointed, breakfast and fabulous property complete with hot tub and summer gardens. Flexible for our ever changing check in - and with a smile! Communication easy and fast via text, super convenient. Gorgeous in room gift basket, with local and artisanal goodies that included hand crafted soft, snacks and jams to take home. She should host reenactment teas or weddings as the home and grounds lend themselves beautifully to early Canadian history. I’m originally from the area and never knew of this place and will recommend to all my friends and family. Would return here no question - it’s a steal, they should be charging DOUBLE for the food, service and room quality received. It’s worth the drive for those visiting Ottawa - stay here, commute in - you will not be disappointed. To Sandy and family, we have quite literally travelled the world, and stayed in many elite hotels - and your little spot could hold its own. Don’t change a thing! And let me know if you ever do host a special summer historical tea - I’d love to know! Really elegant, congratulations.

This B&B is head and shoulders above the rest. BEAUTIFUL property, grounds, and area. The host is a professionally trained chef - breakfast is to die for. The couple are attentive but not intrusive. The rooms are private and each has a fully renovated ensuite bathroom. Thank-you, Doug & Sandy for a wonderful weekend.
