Location is perfect for Kaibo Beach (walking distance), Starfish Beach and the glorious much visited Rum Point. If you want a low key vibe this is the area to have fun without crowds and traffic. The house has everything that you wouldn't even think of. Love love the house!

My family I just returned home from the most AMAZING week long vacation we have ever experienced! We have stayed at many beautiful VRBO homes over the past decades, with Carolina Kai setting the highest bar, ever! The home is essentially brand new, immaculate, gorgeous interior, exterior, private beach, pier, amenities too many to list; Perfection in every regard! The personal communication from Lee, before, during, and after our stay has been nothing short of phenomenal. Lee answered all of my emailed questions (within minutes) about things my family of 6 would experience. Everything was a grand slam! I have to give a shout out to Silver Thatch Watersports for the 1/2 day private trip to Stingray City. Our incredible guide, Warren picked up my family at the end of our private pier in a beautiful 32’ World Cat 320 boat. This entire experience…I just don’t have enough words to describe how incredible this event was! Our favorite area restaurants included Tukka (try the Lionfish Tacos!!!) Kaibo Grill, Rum Point B&G, Over The Edge, among others! Our private pool times were awesome, as were the water amenities which included 2 paddle boards, and Kayak!After many vacation stays on 7 Mile Beach, Kaibo/Rum Point (laid back) is our new favorite!Thanks a million Lee and Karen! We will return! So very grateful!!!Jeff G.

6 Stars!!! 5 Stars is not enough. The property is 100% as described including all the amenities both indoors and out. This is the most well-appointed property we have ever enjoyed in our VRBO experience. Host communications were absolutely the best with timely and accurate information as well as a genuine care for our comfort and enjoyment. We didn't just rent a house, we rented a home.

We had another fantastic stay at Carolina Kai The amenities are still hands down the best of any VRBO we have ever rented and we have rented many! The AC worked great, the home was clean as a whistle, the water toys were numerous and in excellent condition. We invited family to join us this time and they were all blown away by the home, the property, and the attention to details. We saw huge spiny lobsters hanging out in big pipes under the large covered dock to the left of the house. We also saw lots of fish around and under the private dock on the property. We look forward to coming back again! 5 Stars

Many times you see photos that look great and then you find that they were very creatively staged. Not the case with Carolina Kai, it was better than the photos.We stayed in September and did find that a number of restaurants close for the month, however, we also had no lines or other people around. It was very peaceful and quiet. Perfect stay and just what we needed.

We stayed for five days and had a great time—very nice accommodations. There are plenty of "toys" for playing in the water. We have been going to the Caymans for many years and stayed around Seven Mile Beach. The Rum Point area is much less crowded and more laid—back; however, there's plenty to do and good restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend the Carolina Kai.

Fabulous Find

If you are interested in a fabulous vacation with peace and relaxation you have come to the right place. The home is immaculate with every amenity I could have imagined. The interior is spacious and spotless. The exterior will make your eyes pop out of your head with a well equipped entertaining area, a lavish pool, and a private beach. Head out for some exploring on the sound with 2 paddle boards and a 2 person kayak. The community is quiet and laid-back. My only regret about this property is that I had to leave! I hope you enjoy this gem as much I did!

Amazing home near Rum Point

This house made for the perfect family vacation. It was close to Star Fish point and some good snorkeling spots. The kids loved swimming at the house and playing on the beach. The beds were comfortable and the home had everything you needed. It was so relaxing and wonderful.

Incredible getaway

We wanted a house away from 7 mile but all the conveniences of home with a beach and pool. We got it in spades. We’ve stayed at a lot of nice VRBOs for vacation, but the Downing’s place surpassed all expectations and more. From Diving company recommendations to being responsive to every question within minutes(even months out of our stay), to having every possible accommodation for a vacation home, they provided such great insights and comforts of home. We like to travel all over but if we come back to the Caymans, no doubt we will stay here again. Great trip, relaxing and eventful. Thanks again!! Also, shout out to Barbara, the property manager. Carolina Kai is a magnificent home. It is as beautiful as the photos show…both inside and out. It is so private and relaxing. Loved the pool and hot tub. Wonderful outdoor spaces we enjoyed so much. Life Styles of the Rich and Famous!

By far the BEST VRBO we have ever visited and we have visited many! The home had top of the line everything… pots, pans, ice machine, appliances, beds/bedding, towels/linens, water toys, heated toilet seat with bidet, amazing hot tub, non-slip tile in and around the pool, and so much more. Everything we needed was there. The outdoor area with the grill and rotisserie right by the amazing pool with the most comfortable lounge chairs. Everything was perfect. You will not be disappointed 😍

Exceeded my expectations!

This home is everything you see in the pictures and more. The host was incredibly responsive and offered wonderful recommendations. The home literally had everything you could need for a great vacation. Barbara, the property manager, was also super accommodating which was very helpful since I was traveling with my 3 year old. The home is a bit of a drive away from some of the more popular areas (7 mile beach), but if you’re not looking for that, this is perfect! The beach at the home is grassy, but very clear. The water was also surprisingly warm, which we loved. I 10/10 recommend this home and can’t wait to visit again!

Best Rental Home We Have Ever Stayed In!

What can I say that hasn't already been stated about this incredible home by all of the other reviewers? It is simply the most incredible and well-appointed home we have ever stayed in for a vacation. We started our vacation less than 48 hours after Hurricane Beryl hit the island, but both the inside and outside of the home was cleaned and maintained to where you would never know a major storm had just passed through. I did reach out to Lee for one minor inconvenience we had with an icemaker not working, and he responded immediately with several troubleshooting tips that solved the problem. This is not a rental that stocks just the bare necessities. The design and attention to detail is impeccable. The kitchen has every appliance you could ever want to use. Are you worried about your beverage getting hot outside? Just use one of the many vacuum-insulated drink bottles they have available for you! Maybe pack an insulated cooler for a road trip to the other side of the island. We didn't get to use many of the water toys available to us, but they are plentiful as well. I don't know if we will get a chance to come back to Grand Cayman in the future, but if we do, it will only be if we can come back to stay at Lee's wonderful home!

Quiet Oasis

We were thoroughly impressed with this rental.From the moment we walked in , we were in awe of the great design and flow of the home. We loved the open concept and the view from the living room was awesome. We also loved the close proximity to the private pool and outdoor seating area which was our favorite hangout spot. The house is tastefully decorated with many luxury touches. We would not hesitate to rent again when visiting the Caymans; this is definitely not your typical rental with all the extras included. We were looking for a quiet retreat and this definitely fit the bill, although you are within an arm's reach of Rum point and Kaibo yacht club for dinner and additional beaches.
