Big Tub Paradise

Really enjoyed our stay here. Location is optimal for walking to town, visiting the lighthouse and walking to catch the tour boat. Only used the car to get groceries. Parking is tight in the driveway.

A family friendly escape

This is exactly where you need to go with the kids and doggo. What I appreciate most about Michele and Patrick is everything they've thought of for the tiny humans in our lives. Little people cutlery, toys, books, crib, games, bunk bed, laundry facilities!!!!! You'll still have a gorgeous time on a girls getaway or just you and your partner but if like us you're looking at bringing everyone with 2 and 4 legs, this is the place to book. It's like walking into an ikea catalog and everything is thoughtfully put together inside. P.s.... The sheets are wonderful, even our 6yo connected on that. You can easily cook all of your meals in the open concept kitchen or pickup some stuff downtown and hang out around the fire outside. It's not a deal breaker whatsoever for us but be aware with really little kids there's not easy water access. Everything close by tends to be via rocks or drop off. Super fun to watch the scuba divers in action but Just go to singing Sands with everyone and have a blast if you're looking for shallow swimming. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday!

Perfect location

Very comfortable stay. Michele and Patrick take great care of their cottage. Super clean with everything we needed. The location is perfect as we were able to walk to Bruce Anchor Cruise, downtown Tobermory and the start of the Bruce Trail. Also a short bike ride (or 20/30min walk) to Big Tub lighthouse where you can have a dip. Highly recommend for an enjoyable relaxing visit to Tobermory.

Lovely!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Plenty of space, very clean, and a great location to enjoy Fathom Five and Bruce Peninsula National Parks. Great communication from our hosts. Walkable to the shops and restaurants and to the Big Tub Lighthouse.

Great trip at Big Tub Paradise

Thank you to the hosts of Big Tub Paradise. We had a lovely 4 night stay as a base to explore Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula. We had 4 adults and a toddler and there was plenty of room for us all. Cottage is large, clean and well maintained so it was a delight to come back in the evenings. Only 2 small hiccups. The front door has a WiFi lock and for whatever reason it didn't send us the invite codes, but the hosts worked hard to ensure we could get in. The central air system is also loud, and as we were staying in the ground floor master, kept waking us up, but we're light sleepers. Others might not be bothered. In general definitely recommend and hope to return.

Excellent stay, would definitely return

The house is located just 5 minutes walking from the Main Street and the port. It’s surrounded by nature. I had high expectations but when we arrived it was way better. The decoration is so nice and make you feel home. All the utensils in the kitchen are pretty much new and ready for families with small children. There’s even a videogame, board games, toys and books there to entertain every age group. The house was clean and well maintained, beddings are really comfortable and the King bed is a must. Contact with the owners was easy and we had no issues during our stay. Definitely an amazing choice if you are planning to go to Tobermory.

Cozy and Welcoming

Amazing place to stay. We feels like home the moment we come inside. Clean and well supplies so you don’t have to worry about anything. Minutes walk to everything. We love it so much and booked again for next summer. Can’t wait!

Super clean and perfect location

Super clean cottage with soft white sheets. Perfect location with just 5 min walk to the beach and cozy downtown of Tobermory. Entirely well-organized and equipped kitchen! We stayed here for 4 days with a group of friends we enjoyed the front yard and the side deck for the meals. Very cozy bench on the side with great access to the kitchen. Totally match With the listing. Loved the place and highly recommended to stay here! Thanks to the hosts.

Loved the Property and Location!

We enjoyed a fun vacation in this wonderful property! My sisters and Mom and I had a great time! The location was perfect - so close to everything, yet nicely secluded with trees all around, and we LOVED the decor. We were so impressed with how well stocked it was - tons of dishes, wine glasses, utensils - there was NOTHING missing! The owners were extremely responsive to our questions, and the directions and information prior to going were very detailed. We had a great time and will definitely book this property again! Fantastic spit right in the heart of Tobermory

We rented Big Tub Paradise for a short getaway and birthday weekend. It was a fantastic spot! Our two, almost three, year old was engaged immediately with the toys in the cottage and the rest of us enjoyed hanging out in the comfortable cottage, walking around Tobermory/out to the lighthouse, and hiking at Bruce Peninsula park. So fun to see Tobermory and surrounds in the winter; so beautiful!

Excellent Property Perfect Location

This property was clean, fresh decor and well equipped kitchen. I booked this property for our girls hiking trip. We were all very happy with this home. Bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable. We planned on eating out for dinners, however most restaurant were closed (after Thanksgiving) So a quick trip around the corner to Foodland and the LCBO and we were able to cook our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Michele answer all our questions immediately. We would definitely recommend this property and book it again when we return to this area.

September Vacation

This home was very welcoming when we arrived at the end of a long day of driving. Very clean throughout. Kitchen was well supplied with everything you needed. Bathrooms also supplied shampoo, conditioner and soap, which was thoughtful and appreciated. Internet had not been installed yet but that would be available now.

Family get together

We all were impressed by the decor. It was fresh and in inviting and beachy. The kitchen is well equipped and the owner has made great effort to accommodate for parents of young children. The pillows were harder than what we were used to but it may be that they were new and not broken in yet. The location is fantastic!! Close to town but enough off the main drag hat traffic noise wasnt an issue. I would definitely stay here again. (Might bring my own pillow though)
