  • West Point Lighthouse was the second lighthouse I visited while on the island. This lighthouse is unique from the others as it's considered a second generation of lighthouses due to its shape. You will also notice that the lines are painted black instead of red like other houses. This was done because the lighthouse was difficult to see due to its reflection off the red sandy beaches or how the sun reflected off the building. This made it easier for sailors to spot it during bright conditions. There is a small fee to visit the lighthouse, and you can go right to the top to view it actually working. So many lighthouses I've been to are no longer active so this was a treat to see.

Fantastic house with incredible views. We felt relaxed as soon as we entered the home. It was very clean and super cozy - with all the modern amenities. We enjoyed many walks on the beach - all alone!!! It was great to have direct access. The sunsets were incredible!We were entertained during our stay with all the wildlife on the beach and around us.

Beautiful, picturesque place with outstanding sunsets. Overlooking one of the nicest beaches on the island, great for exploring. Easy access to the beach and some fun activities close by. All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday place.

Serene Escape with a View

A quiet corner of PEI

Location and Weather

Property and location were as described and were great. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Wind and rain effects from the hurricane although not severe did prevent many activities which we and our pet would otherwise have enjoyed.Sunsets were gorgeous on several occasions and lobster boat activity both day and night out of nearby Howard’s Cove was very interesting and glad to see. Previous guests did pose some minor garbage/composting issues which were satisfactorily addressed by the host. Communication with the host throughout the rental process was excellent.

Cozy cottage with superb ocean view and beach

My wife and I, and our Border Collie, stayed for a week. We immensely enjoyed the expansive property and the access to a long red sand beach with cliffs sculpted into intricate shapes by wind and water. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets from the deck facing the sea. The two bedroom cottage was well equipped and attractively furnished. Beds were comfortable and the rain shower head was a treat. The place is off the beaten track, which for us was a good thing.

The property is beautiful, well kept and a little slice of paradise. O’Leary grocery and liquor stores are handy. Dan and April have a secret gem in the Victoria cottage. Can hardly wait to return! Great wifi and thoughtful touches.

Cape Wolfe Vacation

This cottage is incredible, it had everything we needed and it's a clean and beautiful place. The glass panels on the balcony give you that amazing view from wherever you sit. We loved walking on the beach every day and it is in a nice quiet area but not too far to drive into town. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Dan and April for letting us enjoy your place.

A slice of paradise

Spent the week at Victoria with my two sons (6 & 12) - the memories made there will last us a lifetime. The beach, the view the sunsets, the warmth of the people in neighboring towns…just a fantastic all around experience. Dan and April are wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay. A true home away from home.

Excellent choice!

This cottage is very well appointed and is quite elegant yet very homey. It is a lovely home and we were very excited to be staying here. It has everything! They have thought of many nice extras to make your stay a great experience. It's in a quiet area, without neighbors being too close in a very picturesque spot. You couldn't ask for anything more! Unfortunately for us we were there during Hurricane Fiona. We were safe - I can confidently say the cottage is a newer construction and VERY sturdy! Fortunately for us Dan has great neighbors and friends who checked in on us. And Dan kept in touch with us frequently before and after the big storm. He is a great host! In future, we plan to come back so we can truly experience PEI. And when we do we'll look forward to re-visiting this cottage. We would highly recommend it for sure! You won't be disappointed!
