Eric, I apologize for the service you received. We have had screen doors in the past but the high winds and salt air on the beach resulted in the screens being damaged more often than they were in good repair. We discussed this with the property management company and learned that most beachfront houses do not have screen doors for this reason.

Chris, Thank you for your review. We have had some occasional issues with cleaning in the past, but this is the first time in 7 years that a cleaning has been completely missed. We apologize for the inconvenience and are glad that we were able to quickly make it right. John

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The house is on the older side, but since your stay, we completed our last major renovation step with new walk-in showers. We now have new paint, new flooring, new appliances, and new showers. Thanks for your feedback on keyless entry. We are considering making that change in the near future.

Thanks for your review. Since your stay, we have replaced both bathroom showers and added a lock for the sliding glass door. We have a contract for quarterly pest treatments and on-demand retreatment when guests see live bugs (dead bugs generally mean that the treatments are working). We ordered a retreatment as soon as we saw your review. We have been at the property all week and haven't seen any signs of bugs. We appreciate your desire for screen doors. We attempted to have screen doors and storm doors for several years. However, the high winds and salt air on the beach meant that they were in constant (monthly) need of repair. So, we have chosen no screens over screens that were in frequent disrepair. We also appreciate your desire for linens to be on the beds when you arrive. Unfortunately, there are no linen services on the beach that provide this service. Finally, we are very pleased with our cleaning service, but there are occasional misses. We are sorry that you found sand on the floor. Our local property manager will send a crew for releaning when occasional lapses occur. The cleaning crews are pretty stable, but the property manager performs Quality assurance reviews when new crews are added. Thanks again for your feedback. This is how we get better. John

Thank you for the feedback. We are always working to improve the house and agree that there are some items still to remodel. We put in new flooring and a new stove this past December which are not reflected in the pictures. I think there is a picture of each room in the house, but I will look to update them. We are also having the showers in both bathrooms remodeled in December. They are outdated and will be new and modern soon.

Thank you for the feedback. For others considering the property, the deck is shared, but there is a privacy wall between the sides so that you can't see your neighbors when enjoying the porch.

Sharon, I offer a sincere apology. Linen service including sheets, towels, and washcloths are included in every rental. This is the first time, to my knowledge, that they have not been delivered. I have issued a refund for the linen rental fee and am researching why the linens weren't delivered to the house prior to your arrival. John

Thanks for your review! Every rental includes clean sheets and towels from the best linen service on the island. The linen service will replace the linens on request if you have any concerns in the future. We agree that the bathrooms are dated and have bathroom remodeling as the next project on our list.

Thank you for the feedback. Linens are typically delivered before check-in. We agree that 9:30 PM is completely unacceptable for linen delivery and are researching this with the linen company. We don't understand the "very little is provided" comment. The rental includes linens, pots, pans, dishes, flat ware, glasses, mugs, toaster, kcup and regular coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, cable, wifi, beach chairs, boogie boards, bocci ball, corn hole, surfboard, paddleboard, etc. Guests need to bring soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper. We will add a cooking sheet and casserole dishes this weekend. The house is a duplex layout with an adjoining door in the main room. This double door locks from both sides when the units are rented separately, or can be left open when both sides are rented together. Other privacy features include a separating wall on the beachside porch, separate parking, and separate entry stairs and doors.
