We had a wonderful stay. The house was spotless and offered so many amenities. Location was perfect. Just a short golf cart ride over to the beach. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to a fishing dock. Would highly recommend. Tanya was wonderful and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful oasis

We stayed for 6 day and we could have probably stayed forever. Great location, it was peaceful and close to everything without being in the middle of everything. Highly recommend it but I would like it to keep it our little getaway spot

Beautiful well equipped home

Loved everything about this home. It was very clean, the garage/game room is air conditioned, plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking. We hope to stay here again in the very near future!

Paradise on Oak Island

My husband and I and our 2 little Boston terrier’s had an amazing time at Oak Island in this beautiful, well stocked and spotlessly clean home just steps from the beach! This property exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back!! We are frequent travelers and always stay at a VRBO property and this home has been my favorite by far! Thank you Tanya for welcoming us into your home and for being a responsive and attentive host!

Great place for kids and adults

My family had a fantastic time here. There is a ton of activites to do down stairs. The game room kept the boys entertained and off screens. The hot tub was a joy to use and worked very well. I was also happy to see we were walking distance to the fishing dock.

Perfect Beach Stay!

This was a great trip and a awesome spot. Perfect game room with plenty to do. Awesome screened in hang out area with hot tub. Dock near by for fishing and just a short trip to the beach access. Looking forward to next year already!

Great NYE Stay

My family and I made a quick getaway to OKI for the New Years weekend. We found the home to be extremely clean, contain all the necessities, and match the description exactly. The golf cart and hot tub were a huge plus that made our stay special! My family and I had a wonderful time and appreciate how responsive the host was. Definitely recommend!

We loved the house! Was spotless and even bigger than I expected. Didn’t realize that the game room is separate from the house, so no game/kid noise which is good for teens, maybe not smaller kids. Everything was smooth with check-in and communication. Just a tad farther from the beach than we like but understood that when we booked. Definitely don’t hear traffic or people tho so that’s a plus. It’s a nice quiet area.Would highly recommend!

Oak Island Getaway

Our family had a short stay at Oak Island and we loved this house! We appreciated the quiet neighborhood. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced backyard and the kids had fun in the separate game room! The hot tub was a wonderful way to relax at the end of the evenings. Well stocked kitchen and very clean home!!

Everything was perfect! Highly recommend- house was clean,comfortable. Owner checked in on us via email to make sure we had everything we needed. Several things I loved so much will get for home (shampoo/cond)! Teenagers loved the game room and hot tub.

Wonderful time at OKI

The house was great for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax. We enjoyed the game room and had some exciting table tennis tournaments. We also enjoyed the use of the golf cart exploring the island and going to the beach. We were able to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal from everything the kitchen offered. The fishing dock at the end of the street provided fun croaker catching. The street was very quiet and the locals were very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Family vacation

This was such a great house for families with both older kids and littles. We have four ranging 7-14, and there was something for everyone! We all enjoyed hot tub, game room, neighborhood dock, far enough away to have that private neighborhood, but close enough to still hear the waves. I wish we booked our stay longer, and will definitely come back again!

Girls weekend

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and in a great area. Close to the beach and not far from restaurants! Amenities were as expected! The air conditioner may have been pre set. We felt like we would turn it down and it would go back up to a certain temperature! We definitely would love to return!

Excellent Beach House! We have loved visiting Oak Island for its small town feel for 25 years. This house was perfectly comfortable for our family and grandchildren. Everyone had plenty of room to relax, play and enjoy our visit. The backyard was wonderful, play/game room was entertaining and the hot tub was so nice as well. Outside shower was ideal after returning from the beach which was basically a 3 minute drive! Gorgeous inside and out! Communication was also prompt and super easy! Thank you for a great week ❤️

A different Thanksgiving

Our stay was to change our Thanksgiving tradition after unexpectedly losing my mother in-law in the spring. The stay went seamless with very nice and prompt communication with the host. There were 5 adults and a teenager. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to adequately prepare Thanksgiving meal. Great neighborhood. we utilized the golfcart for beach trips and this was very easy. We look forward to coming back in the summertime.

Great Relaxing Vacation Home!!

Me and my family stayed here for two weeks, we Absolutely loved it! My kids loved the game room, and the bikes. I love the back yard that is fenced in that kept my youngest from wondering upfront from me! I would have loved to rent a go cart but it just wasn’t in our budget unfortunately. We used our vehicles each time to go take the beach. It was to far to walk with young kids and bringing stuff. All in all me and my family had a Wonderful Vacation and was sad to leave and go home!!

Our family had the best Thanksgiving week staying at this beautiful, spotless, incredibly well-kept home! From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much care and attention the owners put into maintaining the property. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtfully stocked — far beyond what we expected.We cooked our full Thanksgiving meal here, and to our surprise, the kitchen had everything we needed… even a turkey platter and a roasting pan (which we’d packed “just in case” but never needed!). The complimentary toiletries and starter supplies lasted us well over half the week, which was such a nice touch.Our kids would have stayed in the game room 24/7 if we’d let them — foosball, ice hockey, ping-pong… they were in heaven. When we weren’t playing games, we were either at the beach or down at the dock. We visited every single day, and the fishing was phenomenal! We came home with nine gallon-size bags of black drum and whiting fillets. We even caught a few flounder, though they were out of season. Honestly, our kids could have fished from sunrise to sunset.Evenings were magical — fires in the fire pit, soaking in the brand-new hot tub while Christmas carols played, and enjoying the peaceful quiet of the cul-de-sac. The location couldn’t be better: tucked away and tranquil, but just a quick bike ride or drive to the beach, plus great nearby shopping (shoutout to Southport Sourdough — a MUST!).Will definitely be back!

Perfect relaxing get away

We were looking for a family friendly spot in a quiet neighborhood, near fishing access and with some things available to keep our kiddos busy during our relaxing down time...this place checked all of the boxes and more. It is a beautiful property, very clean and well maintained. On a great family friendly, and quiet street. Super short walking distance to fishing dock at the end of the street- which my family really enjoyed-and we did manage to catch a couple of fish! Our kids absolutely loved the game room set up in the garage and spent a lot of time there. They enjoyed the double bunk set up in their room as well. Us adults enjoyed the lovely screened in porch area, hot tub and awesome outdoor shower! This came in especially handy after a day at the beach. The beach is just a short drive away (maybe 5 min depending on where on the beach you want to go). The house was stocked with most of what you would need and plenty of thoughtful extras. I would visit this property even during off season given all of the amenities (hot tub, fire pit, game room, etc.). Communication was great and easy. Hope to be able to return!
