With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeping for up to 12, this over-3,000-sq-ft home offers room for the whole family to spread out and enjoy. Ideally located 17 miles from Yosemite's South Entrance, 7 miles from Bass Lake, and less than 2 miles from downtown Oakhurst, you're perfectly positioned to explore the area—or stay in and enjoy everything this property offers.

    Additional Notes:
    The pond is spring-fed and has water year-round, though levels may fluctuate during drought conditions. It is a catch-and-release pond with no lifeguard on duty. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, or any pond activities are done at your own risk.

    Please:
    -Return all toys to the shed at the end of your stay in as good (or better) condition than you found them.
    -Cleaning and care of these items (and the boat) are NOT provided by our housekeeping service.
    -If the condition of toys and/or boat is not satisfactory, please report the details to us so we can reflect that in our rating of the previous guest or fix/remove broken item(s).
    -We apologize, we can not send Housekeeping to correct this, as the toys are provided by the owner, using the honor system.

    Access to the pond is from this property ONLY.

    All other shoreline is PRIVATE PROPERTY with NO TRESPASSING via water or land. The beach, toys and boat across the pond are ABSOLUTELY off limits!

    Rental Agreement- Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!

    Welcome Guide - One week prior to arrival, we will text you a link to an online welcome guide. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more!

    Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions- Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.

    Kitchen- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.

    Linens- Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes.

    *Bunkbeds- Please note that due to California Worker's Compensation restrictions, housekeeping will not be able to make the top bunk prior to arrival. Fresh sheets, bedding, and pillows are absolutely provided for it though!

    Fireplace/Firepit- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is typically unavailable in the summer and fall months, due to heightened fire risk in the area. Propane firepits and BBQ grills are usable year round. Since the property has an adequate heating system, firewood is not provided. You are most welcome to bring any for your own ambiance if you wish, or you may use any that might be at the property left by friends, family, or other guests.

    Pet Friendly- This property is NOT pet friendly!

    Parking- There is enough parking for 6-7 cars at this property. The garage is unavailable to guests, as it is used for owner storage. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!

    Early or Late Check-ins- Early check ins are often difficult for our team to accommodate. If you would like to check in early, please reach out to us after 2PM on the day of your arrival so we can check with our team. If you need guaranteed early check in, we recommend booking the night before your arrival so that you may check in as early as you wish. For checkout, most vacation homes have a 10AM check out in our area. We provide an 11AM checkout, and unfortunately can rarely offer a later checkout.

    Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 12 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is strictly enforced. No having events/weddings/large dinner gatherings/guests over just to visit.

    Security Cameras- There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.

    Chains- California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.

    No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.

    Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!

    Mail- Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.

    Calling Us - After booking, you are always welcome to call us at our main phone number, 24/7. That number does not receive text messages, but you will receive a text from us after booking and you can respond to that text thread any time you like. We check text messages regularly during the day and early evening.

    Neighbors- Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!

    Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guest's information to copyright holder.

    Simple Checkout Instructions-
    1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
    2. Please do not do any laundry, it's all professionally serviced off-site.
    3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful but not necessary.
    4. Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located out by the parking! It really helps us keep the critters away!
    5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
    P.S. Don't forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving!

    After booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will also be sent for E-sign to the email on file. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours after you make your booking to finalize your reservation.

This house was absolutely wonderful. The location is amazing. We all noticed how clean the house was because we are very picky when it comes to cleanliness. We loved the town. It is so relaxing. We will definitely be visiting this house again.

We have done many rentals and this one ranked at the top. The house has a great layout and the property is exciting for kids. A short ride to Yosemite but we spent most days at the house. The process was easy and communication was open. Wish they were all like this

Holiday Gathering

Oak Pond Retreat was a great home to enjoy the holiday with our kids and grandkids. The kitchen was well stocked. That makes all the difference when our family gathers. Linens were fresh and beds were so comfortable. The billiard table was a hit again this year! We loved the little touches like extra toothbrushes, strong wifi, and an EV charger. Watching a family of deer walk by as I sipped coffee was special. The few times we had questions, Steve and Mark were helpful and friendly. We would stay at Oak Pond Retreat again.

Awesome family property with lots to do! Wildlife galore!

We can't say enough about this beautiful, house and property with updated technology (Nest thermostats, new TVs, etc.). We had 7 adults and 3 kids under 10 and there was plenty of room. The master suite is huge with a jetted tub that the little kids loved. Other bedrooms are nicely appointed and professional linen packages made us feel comfortable. Bunk room has one upper with a railing and stairs (other upper had no railing.) There is also a twin trundle and small desk there. All have wall mounted flat screen TVs, with a huge one in the living room. Also a fun foosball table. Pool table room is lovely with 2 theater chairs, perfect for napping and reading. Equipment was in good condition and popular with everyone. The family living areas are spacious with two dining tables, as well as counter seating. Highchair came in handy. Kitchen is big; lots of counter space, huge fridge/freezer and newer appliances, including trash compactor. Plenty of plates, utensils, and small appliances (4 slice toaster, stand-alone microwave, blender, pressure cooker, 14 cup coffee maker - coffee provided!) all newer. TONS of cabinet storage and walk-in pantry. Outside BBQ works great. Outdoor furniture is very nice with cushy chairs (8) with extra pillows and a really nice built-in umbrella that easily tilts. The playhouse was adorable with new play rug and Melissa & Doug wooden city toys. The "toy shed" is quite large with tons of water equipment (life vests, stand-up paddle boards, ladder golf, corn hole, soccer and basketballs). The paddle boat was the most used on the pond shared by 4 or 5 neighbor houses. (Dock has locking gate.) We rarely saw neighbors, (pretty hot outside), but we were careful to observe the county's quiet hours- a plus for us, too! The best part of all was the wildlife! A flock of geese came to the pond several times a day and we saw deer families walking right by the kitchen window once or twice a day, along with quail, hawks, and other waterfowl. Truly a joy for all of us. The property is close to stores (Vons, Raleys, CVS) and only 15 minutes to Bass Lake (we rented canoes, kayak and paddle boards at Millers Landing, which also has a cafe, ice cream shop and gift shop.) We hiked Lewis Creek area, also w/in 20 min. Start early (before 8am) to avoid the heat. Both hikes have waterfalls. Love Yosemite management company was great; very responsive! Owners have put a lot of thought into this amazing property. We'd book again!
