WORST RENTAL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN
The pictures and description and feedbacks are very deceptive. We only stayed one night out of four. When you arrive at the condo be prepared to walk up 30 steps to the inside of condo. Once inside you will be greeted with an old looking and smelly condo. The unit was built in 1990 and it looks like nothing much has ever been done with it. The furnishings are very old and uncomfortable. In the living room you must move the couch away from the door to the deck in order to get out. The three windows in the living room are filthy, one has a crack in glass and I could only open one for ventilation. There is a Roku tv that has no local channels. There are wires at the Pac-Man game that are very sloppy and hanging everywhere. There is only one portable AC unit. The kitchen is outdated and you can only open the fridge door a third of the way because it hits the steps that go upstairs. The bedroom is the size of a large walk-in closet. Bed is advertised as a queen size but was only a double. There is only about a foot on each side of the bed to the wall. Also had a portable air conditioning unit stored between the bed and the wall which was right next to your head. There is no closet to hang your clothes, only a small wall rack with 5 pegs in the hallway to hang your belongings. One of the smoke detectors was disconnected. The bathroom was just ridiculous. Looked like they installed two outdoor floodlights. The toilet seat was old and disgusting, light over sink is a joke.

Needs updating
We did not realize there were that many steps! It was very hard for us to carry everything in. The air conditioning is noisy. The kitchen was very well stocked . The lake view was nice.

Lake getaway
The lake area have lots of activities to pick and choose, we always enjoyed going to the lake and admiring the mountains view and water falls , we were lucky enough to encounter beautiful wildlife like a Bear 🐻 and and more , so overall is a great place to visit for a quiet paradise alway from home.

Great location and space!
We had a wonderful time! Great place for the price, awesome location and great view of the lake. I would recommend a shovel near the door for navigating the stairs to the unit during the winter.

Pipes Froze
To begin with, passcode they gave us for the door to check in was wrong. And it was a bit of a process to get them to give us the right one. While staying here the pipes froze. We called and told the rental agency and they said they would move us. They did not so we spent the entire time without water. Went 3 days without water and they reimbursed us for 1 day to make it “right” (in their eyes I guess). Communication between rental agency was just a bunch of promises saying they were going to get an update and get back to us but that wasn’t the case. Property itself was neat. But the entire experience will prevent me from renting here or any of the listings by Vacasa.

Staycation Getaway
The location was perfect for a quick getaway but still close to home. The unit was mostly clean but could use a little more attention to detail and a bit of elbow grease. Check-in was also a bit of a hassle. The original key code did not work and I had to call customer service for assistance. Thankfully tho, customer service helped very efficiently and effectively after a long ride to the lake. Lastly, the reason for only 3 stars is the pull out couch had urine stains in the bed. Other than that everything was fine and did the job for the weekend. Thank you for hosting.

What saved my vacation is Deep Creek Lake, this is supposed to be a review of the property. But the whole experience is dependent on all points of the vacation. Check-in was painful, as i have a bad knee and require a cane to walk. This place has 30 steps to get inside which was a poor choice on my part. I knew there were steps, but 30 !? The code I was given to enter did not work, I made three phone calls to get a number to text to which helped, but it took 30 minutes to get in the door of the loft (it's a good thing it was sunny). The loft was comfortable, the bathroom and shower made it so. I am an artist and the view from the loft is spectacular. I do not have television at home and so I was looking forward to enjoying evenings and rainy days watching, However the television was not as advertised and I was not able to take advantage. I have been coming to DCL since 1978 and I hope to return in the future. What does it mean to be "newly renovated"?

Worst Place I’ve Ever Stayed
The listing says “Newly Renovated”, there is nothing in this place that’s been renovated in the last 10 years! The kitchen countertops were covered in ants. The bathroom smell like smoke and pee. The couch smelled like smoke. The filters in the A/C units hadn’t been cleaned for at least months. The carpets were all stained and gross. You can’t hear the tv at all if the A/C is on and even with it off we had to turn the volume to 100 and I have perfect hearing! The microwave and refrigerator were both dirty. We had to be moved because of how bad things were.

Disappointed
The property was advertised as "newly renovated" the only thing renovated were the floors - the bathroom and kitchen were not recently updated. We were charged additional fees as well as a substantial cleaning fee. There was mold on the shower curtain, balloon fragments on the mantle and window ceils along with a lot of bugs. Coffee machine did not work, 2 of the 3 track lights were out in the kitchen. and it was not a quiet location due to proximity to busy road and neighbors. I sent a note and photos to the management company, while they were responsive and apologetic, they have not done anything to rectify the situation. I would not recommend this location.

Anniversary retreat
Everything was great once we finally got an access code that worked. Rental was exactly as advertised. We had never rented a place without talking personally to someone, but it went smoothly online. We plan on returning but at our age, we will be looking for a place on the first floor.

Good property, minor recommendations
The apartment was great. It did smell of smoke when we first arrived. Perhaps the group before us smoked. We aired out the condo and was able to get most of the smell out. Tables and counters had noticeable dust on them. May want to check light bulbs and add a couple lamps. There were some lights out in the condo that made it difficult to see at night. Other than these minor inconveniences, the condo was great. I would stay there again.

Good spot for Wisp trip
My wife, a friend, and I stayed here for a long weekend of skiing at Wisp. The place served our purposes well. One problem we had was that the futon in the loft was broken or otherwise very difficult to sleep in. We didn't expect much from a futon in a rental place but it wouldn't lay flat and the friend who slept in it had trouble sleeping because of it. I'd bring anything you need for cooking meals as the place has little more than flatware and dinnerware. Overall, positive experience. We got what we paid for - a place to stay for a weekend spent mostly outside the house.

Cozy and Clean
Super nice area and you honestly couldnt ask for more. The only downside is that there arent quiet hours.. so the neighbors who came in to a nearby unit were excited for their stay as well... well after midnight when you could sing along to the words of the songs they played and hear their conversations. But other than that Brendas Pizzeria was awesome to be able to place and call and pick up some much needed pie after only driving 7 minutes back from Wisp Resort. Perfect for you and a friend/S.O.

Perfect for Lake Getaway
Great location on the lake between McHenry and Oakland, MD. Ten minute drive to good hiking at Deep Creek Lake State Park and only about twenty minutes to Swallow Falls State Park. Condo well cared for; has all necessities. Italian restaurant and coffee shop short walk away. Overall very good value for money.

Cute place with a great view!
We loved it here - just two of us stayed along with a small dog. The view from the deck is fantastic and location to Brenda’s was great when we didn’t want to cook. Was a bit hot with just the one A/C unit but cool at night with the windows open. Would stay here again!

Nice location and condo for small family
Overall we loved staying here Jan 1-3. Very comfortable, attractive and fun upstairs condo with two little lake view porches and gas grill. (Stars were amazing our first night.) Great to have a large bathroom in compact place. Kitchen is between efficiency and smaller but adequate and as billed! Loft is kid heaven with tv (but futon incorrectly assembled and swoped/sagging). PS for manager: Light out in living/dining area — would have called if we were staying longer than two days.

Centrally located & nice lake view
Lakeview loft was super easy to book for our July 4th week long vacation. The location is great -- easy drive to all recreation and state parks. For a family of 4 + dog, the loft gets a little tight for an entire week stay. Will consider for a short weekend vacation again. The loft was comfortable and you can tell it's gotten a lot of use. The place needs a little TLC and maybe some updated decor but for the price and location, honestly, I can't complain! Had a minor problem with including the kids + dog on the original VRBO website booking but Logan @ Vacasa (property manager) was able to correct the reservation without an extra charge. Next time, I'll book directly with Vacasa.

Perfect Girls Weekend!
This Oakland condo was perfect for a quick girls getaway weekend! The location is absolutely wonderful, with a quick walk to a cute coffee shop and a short drive to everything, including restaurants and bars and the State Park. The view of the lake is incredible, and it's great to sit on the deck to enjoy the cool summer evenings! The kitchen had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to small groups of 3-4!

My husband, daughter and myself enjoyed our stay at your condo. Everything was super clean. We definitely appreciated and used the logs left for us in the fireplace! We had some issues gaining access into the condo as there was no lockbox left on the door, however, I called the management company and they had us in the condo in less than 5 minutes. We hope to come back soon!
