Beautiful Development and Nice Property

We love Sunset Island and the property was beautiful however there were a lot of damages to the property that devalued the home. All in all we would stay there again.

Vacation site fit for all ages

This tastefully appointed home had enough bedrooms and beds for my 3 generation family to be comfortable. The open family/dining room and kitchen area was a great gathering spot. The resort's amenities were enjoyed by all, especially the walking trail, fitness center, fishing pier, interactive fountain, and pool. It is also located close to other attractions/activities on the Coastal Highway as well as the nearby state of Virginia (Chincoteague).

Great location

The overall condition of the house was nice and as advertised. Communication was easy via text but they weren’t solution oriented. Parking was a challenge.

Fantastic property and location

Fantastic property and location. Able to park more than 3 cars without needing to purchase additional passes since garage/driveway fits 3 to 4 additional cars. Also house has a grill in the garage but not certain if permitted to use. Thank you for a great stay.

The house is great. The location is ideal and the elevator is cool. The garage door was broken during our stay which was disappointing and since the neighborhood makes a big deal about parking, we were surprised that the manager did not make fixing the garage a priority until after we checked out. Otherwise we had a great time.

Spectacular 2 Beachside Mews

The house was extremely clean and lavishly decorated. Rooms are large and comfortable. Bedding was lush and comfortable. Many decks. The security provided by the guards at the front of this gated community were well received along with the quiet tranquility of the neighborhood will definitely find us returning in the future.

The house is great and this is our 3rd year staying there however This year there were some minor issues… Screen doors were broken, garage fridge was broke, light bulbs were burnt out, and water did not get hot. House is great but could use a few maintenance issues. Also, the towels provided were terrible. They ruined the laundry with white fuzz and left white fuzz all over. Would stay again though!

Wonderful, just needs small fixes

Overall, we loved this home. It was large enough for a big group, and clean. The beds were comfy, AC was zoned so everyone could be comfortable, and the dining room table fit 10. Lots of little balconies. We enjoyed the location just a 10 minute walk to the beach and the house was stocked with beach chairs and other beach things. There’s also a small beach in the community that our friends with kiddos loved. Just a few minuscule gripes: in one bathroom the shower was clogged and the toilet paper holder broken, and they don’t provide even one roll of tp and one soap per bathroom (just two per the whole House). . At a $2k+ a night rental, it doesn’t seem that hard to provide toilet paper. Vacasa also told us that there was only space for three cars when clearly there was space for four. We found it a bit annoying that we had to not just pick up, but also drop off parking passes at the Vacasa office a few blocks away. Sometimes when trying to coordinate a group trip even small logistical things are a hassle. The Vacasa staff was nice though.

Great place. Bed situation was misleading.

First of all, the place is great and we had a great time! The check in was confusing as I either couldn't find or they didn't send me the code to get into the Vacasa after hours lock box. They also didn't answer my request for assistance. A helpful stranger agreed to let me look in the box (thank you, sir!). The place itself is huge and awesome. One thing we did not like was that the listing was inaccurate as it shows the room I stayed in as having a double bed with a single bed next to it. When we got there, they owners had replaced with a bunk bed double with single on top. Now we are eight older guys with bad knees and most over 6 foot tall. No one was climbing up those tiny steps to sleep in a child's bunk bed. One guy slept on the couch and it all worked out, but just to be clear, both the photos and the layout misrepresented that bedroom and we had to adapt. Other than that, and the homeowner association's odd obsession with parking, it's a great place to stay!

Beautiful house

This house was perfect for the 12 of us. With 4 floors, everyone enjoyed family time without impeding on personal space. There were so many things to do within the resort, and yet we found time to relax.

Beautiful Home w/some issues.

Home is beautiful and well furnished just what we expected. However upon arriving the electric garage door did not work. It was never repaired while we were there so thereforth the property was not secure at night as the back of the house could not be locked. This was definitely a security risk for us as occupants Only 1 other small problem is the outlet in the top floor bathroom did not work so my wife's hairdryer could not be used in theis room.

Vacasa was not helpful when we called to request an early check-in. The house was empty and they acted like we absurd for making the request. 3 parking spaces for the property and one was in the garage which was inconvenient and you had to move cars every time someone wanted to go out. The house was dirty and in need of many minor repairs. We were not impressed.

The neighborhood we were in also was especially nice. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
