“Our room was well maintained and we like staying in unique, historic properties. A bath in the nook in front of the window seemed a little strange. We thought a sofa with a coffee table would be a more relaxing option after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The state of the beer garden is a shame. It looked really run down albeit unique with a throne at one of the tables. If you struggle with mobility, the car park is between 5 - 10 mins walk away. Not a...

It would have been better if staff knew what soup of the day was before taking orders ,a small detail but probably more professional. About 9 stairs up to the room ,staff did offer to help with suitcases .Car park is up a small hill but there is a drop off area to unload your suitcases to avoid having to walk down with them. Would return if only for the food.”

“So disappointed - avoid this establishment until something changes! We arrived just before 8pm and went straight to check in and have dinner in the restaurant, we were informed that the kitchen was busy and there would be a wait, which was fine, however 90mins later we still had no food and when it did come out it was lukewarm and three out of seven meals were missing something. Further to this the children’s carrot and cucumber starter looked like it had been prepared days before - We...
