“This is a great spot. It's about 5 minutes from the Opua Ferry and less than 10 from Russell. It's super remote and quiet. Taking our suburban kids (9 and 4) was fantastic. There is a little boat shed at the bottom of the hill and access to a beach which my older kid loved exploring. The beach itself is quite rocky and full of oyster shells so not recommended for swimming but Long Beach near Russell is amazing and only a short drive away. “You really are paying for the amazing location here. Fantastic views and just across the road from the beach. The apartment itself was fine, a bit dated. My biggest disappointment was the size of the outdoor spa pool - it was a 2 person, which was a bit of a let down given it’s a 3 bedroom apartment. It’s a bit vague on the booking site, with lots of photos of the bigger spa (in the downstairs apartment)”
