“We loved our stay at Flaxmere Guest Cottage. The cottage was warm, sunny and spacious. Comfy beds with lovely linen and a woodburner. We self catered and it was perfect for staying in by the fire in the evenings. It was lovely being able to wander through the magnificent gardens. A truely unique place and we’d definitely rebook. ”

“A lovely well appointed house. Lots of space to relax in, comfortable beds, lovely log fire, more than sufficient bathrooms. We found it a great place for a group of friends to get together to catch up, watch movies and enjoy great food. Near the beach but some of us also enjoyed the second hand shopping in Rangiora. Very close to Christchurch. So lots to do if you don't just want to relax. A pleasant rural outlook.”

“Everything you need is there to make your stay memorable. Location to Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Christchurch and surrounds perfect. Airport only 17 mins away. Us Ozzie's found it a bit cold around April with Temps around 3⁰C at night and 15⁰C in the daytime. After we worked out the generous heating appliances supplied in the house. All was fine. Although an electric blanket or two would have not gone amiss.”

“Would have liked to be supplied with top up tea/coffee etc. Very compact as the name suggested as a tiny home. The grass slop to walk down to the tiny home did not have lighting down it and was dangerous as it was wet. The steps up to the tiny home had a fountain covering half the step, we found this dangerous, and had no lighting to safely nagavate to the tiny home. We had brought a little torch otherwise was could not have got into the tiny home safely. ”

“Great location, close enough to dip into Chch if wanted, but perfectly positioned to enjoy all North Canterbury has to offer, with wineries, rivers and beaches, a stones through away. Positioned in the heart of a friendly community with plenty of Cafe and dinning options within walking distance. Loved the private deck and backyard along with the bonus of the pool table for some friendly family competition. Highly recommend - great character!”

“It started by being difficult to get a reply from the owner while booking. On arrival,we were not expected. The owner did arrive, apologised for the mix up and made an effort to clean it, but we just wanted to relax after a 4 hour drive on Christmas Eve. He perhaps didn't have enough time to clean properly because every area was dirty from floors, to shower to kitchen items and the fridge had expired food in it.
