We stayed for 4 nights in a room on the West Grand Avenue side. We knew it was an older hotel and we’re not high maintenance people, but, for the over $200 per night price we expected better. We had a nice week, but most likely wouldn’t stay here again.
Positives: great location to beach and easy walk to pier, bed was comfortable, pool on property was nice and not crowded like the sister properties.
Negatives: train is very close and blew its very loud whistle every morning around 5:30 am, there was black mold in the grout of the shower tiles, the kitchenette wasn’t fully stocked - no coffee mugs, spatula, dish soap, etc., there was no daily maid service - at check in they said to call if we needed anything, but if someone is staying 4 nights it would be nice to have someone else take out your trash and get fresh towels, coffee, shampoo, etc. Luckily we brought our own coffee supplies and toiletries!
