We arrived Friday evening and was told there was a lockbox and were given a code. We could not find a lockbox and attempted to contact the host. It went directly to voice mail and were told the box was full. We then contacted the management company and they were not able to help us. We could see in the back window that there were many personal effects from someone living there including some trash on the kitchen island.
We verified the pictures of the property from the listing matched the property we were at. We then contacted the management company again as they were trying to contact the owner and the cleaning people - no one responded to the management company. So we asked for another property in the area but were told none was available that night. We would need to check into a hotel and then they could make arrangements for the next night - that did NOT work for us as we had a full day planned the next day.
We were very fortunate to find a hotel in the area that would also take dogs but this was not ideal and certainly NOT the plans we had made for the weekend. We have been given a full refund but that does not cover the frustration we experienced nor did it cover the extra cost of a last minute hotel stay.
I am VERY disappointed in Expedia (the booking agent), Evolve (the management company) and the owners of this property (possibly Christy LeAnn Smith of Nashville - hard to tell). This property should NOT have been listed as available.
