The property was wonderful (but under some construction, but that had minimal impact on our stay).
If Liquid Life is still the management company running this property, keep looking.
The Unit:
The unit was super clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. It was also very nicely decorated, and the view was phenomenal, and the beds were super comfy.
The property:
These Turquoise Place units are large and luxurious with features many rentals don’t have. Which is why we booked Turquoise Place. The trouble was with the unresponsive rental management company, Liquid Life.
Here are the items that weren’t working and never fixed during our stay:
1. The Jacuzzi tub in the master bath
2. The Jacuzzi tub in the secondary bathroom
3. The outdoor grill
By Wednesday when all texts were on repeat, “They (maintenance) never checked in with us, we will reach out and let you know.” Day after day, this was the response.
The items fixed while there:
1. The secondary ice maker (the water was shut off to it)
2. The hood over the range where the buttons were stuck
The hot tub on the balcony had been closed by the Health Department so we knew that wouldn’t be accessible. With TWO jacuzzi bathtubs, that didn’t matter until it did because BOTH didn’t work. In fact, the master tub leaked, and we had two loud air movers in the master bath running the entire week.
At one point the balcony hot tub turned itself on.
Now, this had been closed and was sealed shut. We called the emergency line. And the response was to turn it off. Concerned a hot tub running with no water in it was a fire hazard – and we let Liquid Life know via their emergency number – they did nothing. Spectrum Resorts came and shut that breaker off for us.
When renting a high-end property, it really is a renter’s right to have the main things operational. Ours were not.
No apologies from LL, nothing.
A simple checklist of items (working/not working) prior to check-in by the management company could be employed to avoid ALL of these things. But when I spoke to Liquid Life prior to arriving, no one had seen the property or the unit. They take your reservation. The end.
Unprofessional and unresponsive.
Enjoy Turquoise Place. But don't rent from Liquid Life. You'll regret it.
