Quick trip

We booked for four nights. The floor was extremely dirty when we arrived and the bedding smelled musty. Bring extra bath towels because the towels are very, very thin and some were dirty when we arrived. We have stayed at the Turquoise previously and sadly this unit was disappointing.

Great fall vacay

Nice property. Numerous amenities on site. Condo was large and comfortable. Crew checked and serviced hot tub daily. Only negative were bed linens and bath towels did not quite match the high standards of the condominium. Easy check in and check out with clear instructions. Overall we had an awesome experience.Beautiful place!

Back to school last summer vacation

The tourqoise place is highly rated for Orange Beach, but room floor was dirty with no broom or mop in room. The breakfast was not clear on,it was for “owners only” but from internet sight said guests. The pools were not clean had algae on walls.

Would not recommend staying in this unit to friends and familyEverything was seemed to be done at a bare minimum and outdated aspect; there were no beach towels provided, no dishwasher soap or laundry detergent, outdated tv guide that was useless, and doors to bathrooms that did not lock. The property manager did help get the door locks fixed, but there was push back there from the maintenance guy who told us why the locks were removed before making an effort to fix them. So it was know that bathroom doors could not lock beforehand and they just let us figure that out ourselves. The parking issue was a nightmare and the condo acts like you are second class citizens if you are not staying with Spectrum. It was great the hot tub worked. That's the main positive I can say from the experience

Great location

We had a pleasant stay overall, and I want to highlight that the property manager was fantastic—very responsive, professional, and easy to work with.The condo itself is in a great location and has a lot of potential. It’s a comfortable space and overall a nice place to stay. That said, it could use some updating. The furnishings and décor feel a bit dated, and some simple upgrades—especially to the towels and bedding—would make a big difference in comfort and quality.The TV in the living room is quite small for the space, and there’s no Bluetooth capability with the stereo system, which was a little disappointing. The dishwasher racks are broken, the fan over the stove isn’t working properly and needs serious attention, and several of the sinks were slow to drain or clogged. There are no locks on the bathroom doors, which was inconvenient, and there were no hangers available in the closets.Overall, the condo has good bones and could be a really lovely place with a few upgrades and more thoughtful touches.

Best stay ever at Orange Beach

My family and I come down to Orange Beach every year. This was our 20 th year and the first time staying at Turquoise place. We have stayed several times at Phoenix West and Phoenix West II but this was the best unit we have ever stayed in. We read through the reviews and were a little reluctant based on the reviews of late but management must have listened because check in was effortless, it was so clean, no issues with plug ins or lights. The hot tub was amazing and checked every day. The gas grilled worked and the kitchen provided every appliance needed. The ice maker saved time loading up the coolers every day. The beds were clean and comfortable. The amenities fantastic with the lazy river, the pools, and the new water slide being built will just put it over the top. This was truly a great vacation , one my family will remember always. We are looking forward to coming back next year!

Great stay with some minor issues

We had a great stay at this condo! Upon arrival, the guest bedroom light did not work (lamps only) and one of the panels in the guest bathrooms was displaced leaving a large hole in the side of the tub (still functional but an eye sore). I messaged our host our first night about these issues but never heard back from them. There were also several soft spots/cracks in the floor of one of the bedrooms. Thankfully none of these issues required immediate attention just minor inconveniences. If you have issues, don’t count on hearing back from anyone. Overall we enjoyed our stay! We love staying at the Turquoise Place but probably wouldn’t come back to this condo.

Family vacation

Loved the condo and the resort! However, couple of things. We knew there was a chance of not having a hot tub, but when we got there it was there but empty. Daily people came by to check, and they were not happy the owner had not had the tub filled. However, it was finally ready for us to use on the last day. The grill area needs cleaned, badly. There were roaches living in it. We contacted the management people who said they would send someone over, but to my knowledge that didn’t happen. Also, no vacuum so it was hard keeping up with sand that inevitable gets tracked in. Even with that we loved our stay and the condo!

Dirty

Overall my family and I love Turquoise place and will stay there anytime we go to orange beach, with that being said this condo was disgusting. From the minute we stepped into the door we had to put socks on if we did not have shoes on. Our feet instantly became black with a ton of sand. Even the beds had sand in the sheets (on arrival). Besides the cleanliness, the floors had soft spots in each room (other condos at Turquoise place did not have this). It’s like there are holes in the floor underneath the laminate. None of the doors locked. And lastly, NONE of the outlets in the master bathroom work. Will ALWAYS stay at turquoise place, but just not this condo again.

A great place with okay management

The Turquoise Place condominiums were just what we were looking for for a spring break beach getaway for our family of 6. Everything about the condo was in good or great condition. The listing photos did not match our particular unit, but I assume the management company has several units that they decorated very similarly. No problem there. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and all the amenities of the property. There are so many truly great restaurants and family-friendly things to do nearby. The hot tub on the balcony was great but could tell it hadn't been cleaned recently by the time we got there. We noticed a scum line on the sides of the tub on our first use. Also, for the price we paid, I would have expected a few more necessities supplied. The person we texted with about a few missing items was responsive and helpful at first, but then we must have crossed a line, because our requests for extra towels and toilet paper were denied. Overall, it was a great stay... our kids loved it, the property was awesome, just don't expect the royal treatment during your stay and you'll be fine.

Beautiful beach/terrible stay

We had terrible communication with host. I called multiple times in regards to needing information on our stay. I emailed but the email address would not work. Stated mail delivery failure. Finally they responded and i received multiple emails. VRBO had check out at 11 but the rental comany said 10. Once we were at the condo we had major mix up on room on check in. Rental company had one sent to Turqoise place one room number but the room they sent us did not match. One was in C and other was in D. We were required to go back and forth between the two because Leigh Gunter would not answer nor return my call. We also recieved 4 emails regarding towels and importance of make up/spray tans messing up the towels. Stated if that happened we would be fined. We all took showers first day and had scruffy towels, two had holes, and not enough wash rags. Six of us and only had five. The driveway stayed blocked due to construction and was very difficult to get in and out with the traffic. The showers in guest rooms would not get hot. Those were barely luke warm while suite was scaulding hot. The floor is uneven very high risk for falls and floor was gritty. We had to sweep as soon as we arrived. Their were no light bulbs in fans in rooms, it was very dark. We were very disappointed with our condo. On the other hand orange beach was beautiful. Water was beautiful!
