Proximity to Eagle Beach is the reason we have returned to La Cabana. The grounds are undergoing major construction in the pool area but as beach people, this did not interfere in our enjoyment. If you are a pool person, wait till construction is completed. Restaurant is good. Bar is lively during happy hour. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Although I understood that there was construction on the property I did not realize how much of the property was impacted. While sitting at the bar, we could almost taste concrete and sawdust. The property will be beautiful when complete but this was a time to avoid staying at La Cabana for the price paid.

Review

Phone in room not working. Fan in bedroom had no switch, got locked out room twice, wristband failed. Main attraction pool under construction. Loud construction noise all day. Beach chairs completely full by 8am. No fresh seafood at any of the restaurants when the resort is on an island? Everything closesearly

The resort was nice and safe. However, there was construction going on at the main pool. We were not told this ahead of our stay or at the time we made the reservation. The construction was loud and was disrupting. If we knew this, we would not have booked there. They said the construction will last all of 2025.

The rooms are small and need updating. The front desk people were not very friendly. The grocery store seems like a long distance. There was hardly any seating at the pool because of the construction. The papa’s by the beach you had to get up at 4 AM to reserve

Stressful

Stay was supposed to be till Feb 1, was told about 72 hrs before check in that I was dealing with a management company and the owner cancelled on them. They guaranteed stay till 24th, but getting details was difficult and getting confirmation for check in was more so. Made my own New Year's Eve impossible to enjoy without knowing if I would be able to check in the following day. Didn't get a confirmation number until almost 9 pm after several back and forth texting and emailing. Then I found out I had to move from room to room 6 times in 23 days. Some just after 3 nights. Always took a day off of being able to relax, pack, unpack, barely Not exactly the relaxing 1 month get away I was expecting. I was warned about possibly having to move rooms during the stay, but this amount of times? I figured a time share maximum 4 in a 30 day period. I got 6 in in 23 days? Was able to secure my own accommodations for the remainder of my stay, and that I will give 5 stars for a quick, no fuss refund from the company for that portion. La Cabana itself is nice, other than major WiFi issues, possibly due to construction on the main pool area..Staff is wonderful, helpful rooms are overall nice, I just didn't get a chance to enjoy it like I planned.

We enjoy this resort due to location to Eagle beach, its a more relaxed crowd and the few food shops on the property are an awesome perk. The rooms have small kitchen area with microwave and fridge. For us the room sizes are all we need. There is not a ton places to eat dinner in walking distance compared to Palm beach but you could find a handful. We can buy any basic nessesities at the resort shop, get deserts and fruit bowls on the resort and drive to any special restaurant we may want to visit. We would prefer this over a house on the island.

Property is always clean, flowers and bushes are all kept up. One issue is they started working on the main pool and it could take up to one year to complete.

Vacation Nightmare!!!

I oked this vacation through VRBO 3 months in advance for New Years Eve Checking in on December 30th Checking out on January 3rd. I paid in full when the Reservation was made. On December 28 I recieved a message from the host who claimed to be with a management company stating that my reservation was being canceled because they could not get into contact with the owner. So 2 days before check in they canceled my reservation . I was already in Aruba at this point and needed to check out of my current accommodation to be left with nowhere to go! I spent 2 days on the phone with VRBO for hours during my vacation trying to find help I was told by VRBO I would need to wait 24 hours before they could help,meanwhile I was running out of time to find a place to stay. I Waited the 24 hours just to be put on hold for over 3 hours with VRBO who were not helpful at all solving this issue. A waste of my vacation time that I could never get back! It was extremely hard to find a place in Aruba 2 days before new years! After reading other reviews I've learned that this guy has done this to several people and is continuing to SCAM people today! Please take caution before booking with VRBO at this location. Avoid the nightmare I had to encounter on my beautiful trip in Aruba! In all fairness I've staid at Lacabana several times and its a wonderful place to stay with great staff and service .The location is Amazing. I've ALWAYS enjoyed my stays with them with no issues but I've always bo

Great Location & Fun

Great location. Beautiful Palm Beach is a short walk across the street, or you can remain pool side where they have music, happy hour, fun activities for kids and or adults throughout the day. Good restaurants were on the premises or a short walk. The resort might seem a bit dated, but it was always kept clean. I heard they were redoing both the adult pool and main pools, which should really update the resort.

LaCabanna Stay was great

Overall a great property. We stayed 6 nights and stayed 2 nights in one room and 4 nights in another. The first room was not in a nice location and we would have been disappointed if this was our room for the entire time. The room however, was clean and sufficient. The second room was perfect. We loved it. The pools are perfect, activities are plentiful, staff are lovely and we will definitely return.
