I wish there was a 4.5 star option. Our family of 5 stayed over Christmas and New Years. The home is beautiful and a great location, although the pictures are from when the home was in slightly better condition. One of the nights we hired a private chef who stated he had been to the home for multiple private dinners in the past and each time he notices there is less and less in the kitchen as far as plates, silverware, cookware, etc. Upon arrival for a 12 night stay we had zero paper towels, and zero napkins. The local host was great and got it all taken care of quickly. On another occasion we had a pipe break and flood one of the bedrooms, again the local host was prompt it getting in temporarily fixed within a few hours and fully repaired in about 24 hours. This home needs an update of kitchenware items, a repair of the lighting system (some switches didn’t work and required flipping breakers to turn off bedroom lights for example), updating locks so that you can actually enter and exit through the bedroom exterior doors, updating/repairing slider locks as some didn’t work at all. Would all of this prevent us from staying again… absolutely not. We will likely stay again on our next trip and hope some of the items are addressed. The local host was great to work with and very responsive.
